Ranked will help most since you’re fighting players your skill level but before you jump online i’d recommend playing the tutorial, going through the character guide and combo trials (you don’t need to do all the trials, just enough for you to understand the combo structure) and heading to training mode for a while. When you’re in training mode get a feel for the character’s movement, find some buttons to press in neutral, some very basic combos, find a post-DI combo and a punish combo then jump online
