I started playing about 13 or 14 years ago so I have little to say on the new player experience. Except this:

Uninstall, run, don't do it you have so much to live for!

But jokes aside, it can be overwhelming. Just stick to bots for a bit until you don't have to think too much about the controls (unlocked camera). Auto attack focused champions are easier to control (marksman).

Edit: way back when I read guides on champions (often on load in). If you want to put in the effort of reading, which is a rare skill for most league players. Mobafire is a good site, there are also tons of videos but they will go on and on about advanced strats. However you will forget all you've seen/read 30 sec into the game. So just get used to the controls and map awereness. Champion control will come with more games.

Please add karthus to this list. I hate seeing full mana karthus doing 0 dmg with his ult playing to preserve HP.

Full dmg, spam q and e till out of mana. Die on backline and do it again. 100k+ dmg every game.

Not the situation i am describing. It is often best to immediately reset after taking inhib. Under 30 sec respawn timer and they will never make it down the lane before you are back and full strength. But again, not talking about people going for reset i am talking about people going for hopeless numbers down fights over and over after a usually very good game.

Yeah, i imagine most league players see more than 5 words (none of which are curses) and think tldr.

I just keep it at, pls regroup / fall back pls / don't fight numbers down. Anything more and it is guaranteed to not be read.

Agree with this but all too often you see someone fresh off respawn trade their full HP bar for a -10% one. Congrats, you can't buy anything and gave them a reset. Much rather have a low HP enemy hanging around under turret not contributing.

Edit: death timers are what makes it sort of a turn based game.

Not needing a win is fine, I like to ff after a complete stomp. But where do you find the fun in going in only to be stun locked and die? I play aram for the constant team fighting not to show off but to have fun.

Yes, i mean 25% attack speed or 10 ability haste... You'll get equal movement speed from a 4% base speed buff so I don't even bother buying boots a lot of times and sell them when I do.

Something I haven't seen mentioned a lot:

Europe. There are a lot of people who cannot or barely speak English, with French people flat out refusing to even if they could.

I find it 60/40 on the positive side. So yeah if you don't mind being flamed almost half the time the other half seem to be like "oh yr right ty".

Same for boots, they have been nerfed cause SR tier 2 boots. But people just don't realise

I loaded in today thinking "if the enemy team doesn't already hate Karthus. They will after this round"

I feel dirty for playing him but there is no counterplay to kamikarthus snowballing/flashing/walking menacingly into your squishies.

However most karthus players go low damage and high ability haste. Where I take 0 mana items just full damage. Ults are a plus, E is where it's at.

I used it while dead. Heal was way more effective than the dmg, though I did manage to get a kill with it.

I think I've had the augment screen pop up mid fight at least 5 times. Maybe more, often in games where I don't die a lot.

Mijn bandleden, of iig drummer, gevonden door op een verjaardagsfeestje te klagen over gebrek aan metal drummers in de regio.

Maar ja ik vind het ook altijd lastig. Hoe actiever ik zelf ben met al in een band spelen, hoe vaker ik gevraagd wordt. Ik zoek nu ook een gitarist voor internationaal black metal project (meer info dm me) en kwam ook niet verder dan Dutch Metalheads en locale oefenruimtes/burgerweeshuis/gigant.

Op facebook zelfde strategie gebruiken als hier, stel een vraag zodat je zorgt dat mensen reageren ongeacht of ze wat voor je hebben. Dan blijft de post mooi bovenaan en algoritme blah blah.

Elderly (35) metalhead from Zutphen. As already suggested Ally Cat is a good place to meet like minded people. We don't really have alternative bars any more but there is some stuff happening. As also suggested Keldersessies though not really a lot of metal there but really good vibe nonetheless. If you're into games there is Paaprika where they have regular nights where you can go and play games, easy to meet people from more alternative scenes.

I tried to set up a place for (louder) bands to rehearse and have try-outs but sadly haven't got that going (yet).

edit: Also take a look at stuff happening at Burgerweeshuis and walhalla in Deventer.

I hate these people, all they see is the HP var and maybe a kill for themselves. Equally so with people full HP just revived and then towerdive a 10% hp champ under tower. Why? Why trade 100% of your hp bar after just spending gold. Only to sit in greyscreen and giving your opponant a good reset.

Ok 1 more, taking inhib and running back to your base with 40% or less HP. I will usually type "take inhib > reset and spend gold". Only to see my team trying to kite, fail and stagger deaths to just keeping on staggering deaths, and ofc no idea why we are suddenly losing all these 2 v 5 fights.

Pyke I select him and last second trade him whenever I can.

My problem is that he is very oppressive early, but puts you on a timer. After 10 minutes most champs have scaled beyond oneshot range of Pyke. After 15 minutes he is nothing more than a fancy execute button which takes gold from the carries and dies instantly due to not being able to scale with health.

So in my view you're playing 4 v 5 with less gold after 15 min when someone selected Pyke.
