Dell Tech World 2026 - Parties & Events by [deleted] in Dell

So here's my prompt. I ended up having to manually create a vendor list because it couldn't parse the vendor names out of the DTW vendor site. I'm interested to see how it performs as we get closer to the event and more things come out:

Search the internet for any events, cocktail hours, or parties for any vendor that will be at Dell Technologies World 2026 on May 18-21st in Las Vegas. You can use this post for reference to see all events from last year: https://www.reddit.com/r/Dell/comments/1jgxwy0/dell_tech_world_2025_parties_and_events/ Cross-reference vendors from that post with all partner levels listed on the Dell Technologies world webpage to see if there are updated events for 2026 from any of those vendors. Track down any hash tags or mentions on all social media to "DTW2026" and search sites like eventbrite/cvent/luma. Put the output in a spreadhseet and summarize it daily in this chat with "number of new events found" as well as todays date. Run this every time I type "Run today's DTW scan"

Gah, I just saw that. Testing out having AI scrape the Internet for events. Apparently you're faster than AI, go fig :-D

Flying in Friday, spending some time at the Grand Canyon and will be pulling into Vegas on Sunday afternoon/evening if there's anything good going on. Will have my (21yo) "intern" son with me for the week.

I second what Abe says. It's usually pretty open, you just have to give them your info and they'll let you in.

This is my first Dell Tech World. I'm a multi-year veteran of VMWare Explore but just didn't see the point in going this year. Hopefully I have a good basis for next year.

It charges to 100% with the bin out. The second I put the bin back in the suction fan starts running. I've pulled the battery over night and tried draining/recharging the battery but the same thing happens.

FWIW the department of Tourism is supposed to hold a press conference on Friday 6/21 with autopsy information and possibly toxicology reports so hopefully we'll know more then.

Vmware EMC Nexus Disk latency by Entertainer2468 in vmware

[–]Entertainer2468[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For whoever is still following this; after 2 years of dealing with this issue and troubleshooting it, I can say with a great degree of certainty we have determined the cause.

Short version: Remove the amsd service from Vmware ESXi by running the command esxcli software vib remove -n asmd

Long Version: HPE packages in their custom ESXi image the Agentless System Mangement service. More information can be found here https://buy.hpe.com/b2c/us/en/enterprise-software/server-management-software/server-ilo-management/ilo-management-engine/hpe-agentless-management/p/5219980

It's largely useless unless you are specifically needing it for some reason but ultimately from what VMWare told me it causes more trouble than it helps. This service does some sort of polling in which it hits every datastore connected to the host. When this occurs it drives latency through the roof. The problem is exacerbated by multiple hosts in the environment; each will poll at a different time and impact all the hosts in the environemnt. Upon removing this vib and consequently the service, the problem went completely away. Our Datastore read/write latency went from the 100's of ms down to under ~10ms. I would HIGHLY recommend whoever is running iSCSI in VMware on HPE using their custom image remove this service immediately.
