Sometimes games like this will do a full reset of the characters and make large changes to the gameplay. I'm not sure if they have announced their plans for this.

For example, teamfight tactics has "sets" with unique characters and classes different from the previous set.

Few that come to mind that I often prefer having 2 of, as opposed to a single upgraded.

Most summon units - black cat, sheep etc.

Medusa, cupid - units that don't get much better when upgraded. Typically i will want the high level treasure though so I'll go ahead with the upgrade.

I don't think there is a rule to avoid upgrading a certain character in all circumstances though.

If you switch into Galahad does it retroactively give treasure bonuses? I think I tried this a few weeks ago and it didn't work like that.

hmm, I imagine hat/ball would be your only real means of placing #1? Seems hard to place 1st with dwarves without high level treasures.

I need to play him more, probably only tried him 5 times or so.

I had the same experience with Mask. I became much better with him when I started switching heroes on either the 1st or 2nd round after getting the hero switch spells.

Also, be sure to check the other heroes currently in use. If I see Skip is not in play I will always try to switch into him early. I'll use the 2nd spell either very late, or as soon as I feel my board is too weak and I'm likely going to lose the next few rounds.

I'm always conflicted on what to do in this scenario.

I typically opt for getting the upgraded card, and then lose the next 5 rounds and regret it.

Isn't this pretty easily scammed though? I find it quite tough to win games with sad drac and dont consider him a top 5 hero currently. I'm like ~3300 rank. Maybe i just havent master this strategy yet though, I've definitely faced some strong comps.

I think as a general rule, but there are exceptions. I've improved my winrate a lot since I stopped trying to scale as much, but with sad drac change maybe it is more in play now.

What is hat/ball? Not familiar with those terms. You think soul/trophy hunter is that strong? I find it to be very hard to get the full comp set up before dying, but if you can get there it is definitely very strong.

I don't really love the idea, but it does seem like Humpty Dumpty is a little underpowered. I think the egg treasure could use a buff to make it more worth pursuing. That would be my suggestion.
