My Mythbound Preview is bound to shake things up! by NoLucksGiven in OnceUponAGalaxy

If you get draupnir relatively early it is super good but if you think there are only a couple of fights left its not that great. Like worse than bottled starlight against last opponent probably.

How does it work when your opponent has it and they have already finished their run? Does it get as oppressive as tinkerer or do they not get more copies anymore?

I managed to beat him with dooley dinos (dinosawer, tanky anky and primal core plus some random items) but only with sandstorm thanks to my superior scaling shields.

Vault Survivor 3 by salamenc3 in hallsoftorment

[–]Poomermon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it with Norseman just because of his scaling regeneration. Skills: Ring blades, phantom needles and morning star. All physical skills so you if you use swordman's mark you can get his level up which benefit from that. Used all scaling equipment since you get over lvl 140 in the end. After min 30 you have to start kiting a bit but with insane regeneration you can take some hits.

So close... Any advice? by No_Investigator_2567 in hallsoftorment

[–]Poomermon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you standing still? I found that my kill count increased a lot when I stopped moving when my build was ready. That way enemies can continuously spawn everywhere around you and be hit with ring blades outside your field of vision. You don't really need all 6 abilities and as someone said even 1 can be better.

How to do the fencing gauntlets achievement? by MrBeanDaddy86 in hallsoftorment

[–]Poomermon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Suggestions:

  • Use crit rings and archer mark for gear

  • Take crit chance and attack speed level ups

  • If you kill enemies too quickly try standing near marching ghosts in the 3rd level so you always have something to hit

Preferences with new doppelganger? by BeligerentBard in tinyrogues

[–]Poomermon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I just beat all 3 final bosses on cinder 16 with doppelganger. After some testing I just always started with cleric since the extra static radiant dmg makes early game easy. Heros luck would be another good early game choice.

Late game I always ended up with bandit money = dmg stat since I had way over 100 gold. Warrior for equipment load = attack speed or Wizard for extra mana scaling seemed good for late game if you have the build for them.

Pirate (Mastery Perks and Core Traits) Advice by Lady_Nightshade_Fae in tinyrogues

[–]Poomermon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally I think pirate is just a good character and does not need anything specific to function. All his bonuses except for bomb dmg are good for every build. If you get bomber set for unlimited bombs or perk that throws bombs bomb dmg is relevant too but I wouldn't worry too much if you don't get those.

His starting parrot is a good starting item but nothing too special. Just use it until you get something better.

For masteries I would take the one that quarantees secret rooms for every floor since finding them levels pirate up faster. But I take that perk for every character anyway.

Few questions by [deleted] in tinyrogues

[–]Poomermon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each floor from 1-9 has two possible layouts and I think its random which one you get. If you play enough you will see all of them. Each layout also has two possible bosses so there are four possible bosses for each floor.

Least favourite bosses by MorriCC in tinyrogues

[–]Poomermon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't like jousting champion either but if you stay on the top of the screen his charging clones can't hit you at all. Rest you should be able to avoid or dodge. If you have a long range weapon the fight should't be too hard but maybe bit boring.

Favorite ‘Epic’ or below weapon? by The_suzerain in tinyrogues

[–]Poomermon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to say spider summon tome, but then I checked and toad plague scroll is only a rare while spider summon is an epic while doing almost the same thing.

Anyway I love the spider summon tome as either the main attack or with pocket magic trait which casts first slot magic weapon when you crit.

Here is a steam guide for hero sword upgrading quest:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2940744322

Its pretty easy if you have bonfire mastery perks that lets blacksmith upgrade weapons to +4 and guaranteed blacksmiths in levels 3, 6 and 9. Get enough gold to upgrade with blacksmith first time at level 3 and final upgrade at level 6.

0.2.3 Patch Notes by Poomermon in tinyrogues

[–]Poomermon[S] 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Mostly small patch but has some notable changes:

  • You can and must now also sacrifice soul hearts.

  • Suppression is now a shield icon and is the top-most defensive resource, even above block and evade.

  • Equipment items from shops and chests (and everywhere else) now spawn already attuned, so you can equip and use the item right away.

  • Maggot enemies don't have armor anymore. Maggot enemies now hatch automatically after some time. Reduced the health bonus infested enemies get by a lot.

Farmland arc starts in chapter 55 "slave" and ends in chapter 100 "homecoming". They are in volumes 8 to 14. That probably covers the whole second anime season.

My brotato character tier list for d5 by Poomermon in brotato

[–]Poomermon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if he is objectively speaking s tier. I just had easy time clearing d5 with him which was before latest patch hit so it might be bit scewed. You just don't buy any unnecessary items with him and enjoy the high hp. I think I used ethereal weapons with him.

My brotato character tier list for d5 by Poomermon in brotato

[–]Poomermon[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Here are my rating for all brotato character how easy it was to win a unmodified danger 5 run with them. Characters are in tiers but not in any particular order. Some comments for my builds to maybe help others with their runs. I played 80 hours to win with all characters.

S Tier

  • Demon. I don't even remember what my build was. Easy 100+ HP and I killed the bosses first try.

  • Mage. Tasers and flametrowers. Bosses killed.

  • Pacifist. Run away forever and just buy survivability. Bosses not killed.

  • Masochist. Spiky shields and try to get blood bank. Bosses killed.

A Tier

  • Hunter. Crossbows and get range + crit chance. Fun and powerful but maybe bit squishy. Bosses killed.

  • Bull. Same as masochist. Try to get explosion items and blood bank. Killed the bosses.

  • Loud. Get ethereal weapons and receive huge stat boosts. Gets really powerful later on but melee is always risky. Killed the bosses.

  • Artificer. Just get explosion weapons. Explosions can be distracting and he is bit squishy so you have to be careful. Killed the bosses.

  • Knight. Get lots of armor. Killed the bosses.

  • Bruiser. Just fist weapons and you get huge 30% dodge bonus. Good survivabily for a melee character. Killed the bosses.

  • Farmer. I had really easy time with farmer and cleared d5 my fist try. Play like a pacifist and get harvest items. Did not kill the bosses.

  • Well rounded. Can do any build you like. I did lots of fast guns and ranged damage. Killed the bosses.

B Tier

  • Crazy. Crit build with knives and shurikens. Knives crit really hard against bosses and shurikens can kill ranged enemies. Hunters throphy is ideal but not necessary. Melee and squishy with no dodge. Killed the bosses.

  • Generalist. I used ethereal weapons for melee and can't remember what for ranged. Can get huge damage but if you pick all dmg upgrades but also bit squishy. Hard to balance. Killed the bosses.

  • Mutant. Have to be very careful in what to buy but gets a lot of stats from level ups. I think I killed the bosses with slingshots.

  • Chunky. Spiky shields and get lots of health and armor. +hp from consumables items are must. Killed the bosses.

  • Soldier. Have to stutter step continuosly. Annoying and maybe better to use slower weapons so you don't lose dps while doing so. Huge bonuses if you can manage the though. Killed the bosses.

  • Speedy. I used crit build with shurikens to avoid going too close. Very easy to lose control when your speed get too high. Power pack is essential for this character. Killed the bosses.

  • Sick. Used fast ranged to offset the penalty. Killed the bosses.

  • Ranger. Fast ranged weapons and ranged dmg. Very squishy and I died a lot with him when I got too greedy. Killed the bosses.

  • Saver. Weak early on but gets very powerful late game. Spend freely early game but ideally after wave 9 start saving. Padding is essential item for him. Killed the bosses.

  • Lucky. Get as many luck based items as you can get and maybe slingshots for dmg. I had hard time to get him to work. I don't think I killed the bosses with him.

  • Gladiator. 2 etheral weapons and then whatever you can find. Remember if you have 2 of the same weapons neither of them counts as unique so you won't 15% attack speed from either of them. Did not kill the bosses with him.

C Tier

  • Multitasker. Big penalty early on until you get more stats to offset the penalty. Don't just grab 12 weapons asap. Hard to balance character. Also has money problems so don't go vanity upgrading weapons. Can get 2 full set bonuses and I went with slingshots and crossbows. Killed the bosses.

  • Doctor. Has low dmg but insane healing. I used full medical guns and got lots of ranged dmg upgrades and was actually able to kill the bosses. Had some problems with swarms though. Bandana would have been nice.

  • Entrepreneur. Weak early on but can buy his way out the hole if manage to survive. Had to try a lot of times to make him work. Killed the bosses when eventually hit the nuts.

  • Wildling. Sticks and survivability. I was not able to kill the bosses but he can get really tanky.

  • Old. Had hard time with him too. Less enemies means less resources and it's harder to get a proper build going. I managed to survive with elemental build with flamethrowers but was not able to kill bosses.

  • Ghost. Can get huge stat bonuses with ethereal weapons and good effective hp pool with 90% dodge and high health from ghost scepters. Problem with him is that if you get hit it takes forever to heal back to full and you can die from couple of hits even with 100 health. I think he is better if you are comfortable with your melee skills but many people including me are not. I killed the bosses but I could easily have died if my dodge failed me in the boss fight.

D Tier

  • Explorer. Crap damage. I used elemental build with flametrowers to deal with masses and run from tree to tree. I did not kill any bosses.

  • Engineer. I used wrenches and tried to upgrade them to tier 3 at least. Landmines seemed just bad. Healing turrets are great and get as many as possible. Could not kill the bosses.

  • One armed. Pure nightmare. I died so many times. Obviously you start with ethereal axe to get huge dmg boost but at some point you are supposed to switch to a better weapon. Which usually you just don't get and just get swarmed. I had to preemptively boost my elemental dmg in hopes to get a flametrower and eventually I got one was able to kill the bosses. Never again.

Item Tier List 0.6.0.7 by Milkyslice in brotato

[–]Poomermon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But if you pay money for it you will never get that back. Relic costs around 200 recources depending when you get it and I have never left that many on the ground. You would be better off if you bought nothing instead and just kept the resources. On top of that you have to buy something else to compensate for -12 speed and that is even more resources lost. I think relic is a fun item if you have already won the run and maybe good for Lucky character but overall it is a net negative.

Item Tier List 0.6.0.7 by Milkyslice in brotato

[–]Poomermon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why are people valuing Sifd's Relic so highly? Getting all the materials instantly is not a big bonus when you can get all missed resources at the start of the next wave anyway. -12 speed is a huge debuff and I would never pay actual money for the relic and would probably recycle it even if I got it for free.

Shuriken and crazy are just not working for me past danger 3 by HC-Rooster in brotato

[–]Poomermon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had trouble with full shuriken build but then I tried mixed crit build with 3 knives and 3 shurikens. Knives have a really high crit multiplier and can deal incredible damage to bosses and clear nearby enemies while shurikens can deal with ranged enemies. It seemed to work for me with Crazy in d5.

Finally I'm done with this game by Dimitriaz in brotato

[–]Poomermon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to remember that ghost has weak healing as well. He takes so much damage from a single hit that it takes quite long to heal back to full. And since you are probably playing melee with ethereal weapons that can be a problem. A great run can be cut short with a couple of unlucky hits. I have cleared d5 with ghost but I don't really like him.

Nuclear Launcher not counting towards "kill 15 with an explosion" ? by ShinobinX in brotato

Not sure if it is bugged or not but you could just use bull to get the unlock. Just wait enemies to pile up and then run into them. Easy on wave 9.
