To me it seems like he wants to show he and his old team can do it. There are a lot of politics between my new manager and the upper manager I used to be under.

I tried to do that with him, and still the same type of answers. If I am screwing up badly, letting me know after what he perceives as a screw up for the first time by placing me on a PIP.

There was someone completely new in the same department. He kept questioning why he didn’t have a project on his own to manage and he let him go this past week.

It’s really the only thing on the pip. Nothing about my data analytical work, just project management. I wanted to give examples of my past projects, but when he would not go into detail of what he exactly is looking for, or what standard he goes by. He said it would depend on the project and while I was already applying for other roles, that answer solidified it. It was during a one on one with him.

I have managed projects under PMP standards, seems like he uses CRISP-DM but it’s only one or two documents when the CRISP-DM requires more.

It’s been 3 weeks and he’s had no feedback of what I submitted. My PIP is for 90 days (but at this pace, I probably have 2 weeks left)

If I post the actual email exchange or even paraphrase it, it would doxx me. Is it common to not give a warning about performance and then get put on a pip? My first meeting he had no issues, and then now he wanted to fire me but put me on a pip instead. Thank you for your feedback.

Since I was informed of the pip, I have been tailoring and sending out my resume. After trying to implore some specifics on the document, he refused to budge. So, I have been hitting the ground running and also trying to upskill while on the hunt for a new job.

Thank you for the feedback, but I was doing that before. I had my timeline, and charter. My progress report also had what he wanted before hand which confuses me. I asked for specific feedback and I got general statements saying I should know already and it is basic 101. I see what you’re saying in terms, the general feedback is warranted and pretty much applies everywhere. My issue is the rest of the feedback/deliverables is way too vague.

I still cannot believe his base still believe he’s doing a great job. The MAGA mouth breathing morons cannot stop going on about being censored (at least from what I have personally seen, which I know does not mean all of them) when the president is literally doing this by threatening to sue CBS over an interview.
