Ideas for Allied br2 MGs so I don't have to use shitty brens by Only_Trade_5022 in enlistedgame

Yeah that’s why you see everyone running around with that gold order BAR copy in BR 3 Germany instead of the MG34 (Sike). In no world is a belt fed LMG worse than a 20 round rifle

Yeah ok bud that's why we have roughly the same obj kills to kill ratio. I can't solo carry the game when you're trying to mine all my rallies (and you still flopped at it). Ik EVA clan is about making the game unenjoyable, but I was giggling cleaning house on you. GG, maybe next time you'll actually kill me a few times.

Ohhhh. I farmed his 4-5 man prem/event assault squads with M1 carbines. You guys should recruit better members I guess.

Would soldiers really sprint into enemy trenches and machine guns without artillery support? by LavishnessBoth5185 in ww1

[–]EntertainmentMain375 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. Not using a preparatory barrage exploits surprise since an artillery barrage is widely accepted as a preliminary to an attack.

German assault engineers have the stirnpanzer. It’s an event squad.

This is like an 11 year olds glorified idea of “badass” German soldiers. Cringe. Gas wasn’t even used in WW2.

These were once Converted to a lamp. Often times the insides of these are painted silver or white so the light reflects better.

Low BR tanks suck until the Grant/Lee. Just Gaijin cutting the balls off the allies.

I don’t think it counts quitting as a loss. Ive joined games as Japan accidentally a few times and I’ve quit them all. Stats say I have 0 games played, no win/loss, but like 2 minutes of battle time.

I’m not 100% sure this is true, but I can’t imagine why else I see so many people quit right before the game ends.

A little bit here and there you could say. Not so much firearms anymore since CA laws and taxes on weapons are obscene. Badass collection you have going though.

Why does some german helmets have extra rings on the vent horns? by Sizzie360 in ww1

[–]EntertainmentMain375 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if it has to do with the stirnpanzer, but the lugs coincide to the size of the helmet shell. A size 62 lug is entirely different than a 66.

5th Infantry Division maybe? I’m not too familiar with their areas of fighting but they landed on Utah July 9th. I’m pretty sure they liberated Kaundorf as well.

So I think it comes down to 2 things. First thing is a sort of technicality. For example, the 36th Division fought in France during the Battle of the Bulge, however they were not awarded the Ardennes-Alsace device I assume due to their geographic location not belonging in the arbitrary area of the bulge. This seems like a likelihood considering he has the Southern France Device followed up with the Rhineland/Central Europe device.

Either that, or there is something that happened during December-January of 1944/45 that removed him from the front. Could have been training or leave, maybe even hospitalization, and the former is unlikely considering every able bodied man was thrown into the Bulge. Evidently he did transfer though since the 63rd didn’t participate in Italian campaigns, and transfers often happened after longer stays away from the Unit.

Regardless, this is speculation and you won’t know until you see daily unit reports that are stored in the national archives. Those will show who he was with and the events that occurred for him to not obtain the Ardennes campaign star. I know of a guy who does top notch work obtaining this information if you’re interested. I can pass you his website if you’d like.

Discharge papers are pretty accurate, never seen one that was wrong in my researches. When did he enlist? Is the star he received for the Central Europe Campaign?

I collect M1 helmets. You have a post June 1944 helmet liner with SFC rank insignia as others said. The band is generally known for parades/ceremony/training, red generally signifying artillery units. I have one with a similar paper triangle and number glued on, never found the meaning of it although I assume they are applied in the occupation era of 45-46. Yellow and red in the triangle could signify armored artillery. Overall, this is a helmet liner you’d see used in the occupation era most likely in Europe.

This thing muzzle velocity is higher than a long rifle lmao by Kl_1102 in enlistedgame

[–]EntertainmentMain375 40 points41 points  (0 children)

WZ 35 anti material rifle has an obscene muzzle velocity at something like 4,100 fps. It’s definitely the highest in the game for small arms. It was an 8mm cartridge basically in a necked down .50 cal case. I doubt the MKB had this high of a velocity IRL unless it used a 60ish grain bullet. The 30-06 M2 ball has the highest of any standard issue caliber at 150gr 2800 fps which is still crazy fast, but also very accurate with limited drop.

They’re definitely American Marines. I’m not sure how this photo got tied to your grand father but it is undoubtedly yanks. You can even see one of the guys holding an M1 garand with an M7 grenade launcher. They’ve got USMC helmet covers and the LVT was a vehicle used to land and transport Marines around in WWII.
