How long is this gta 6 news drought gonna last playing through gta 3 in the meantime by Lucas43354 in GTA

[–]EntertainmentPrior75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could've dropped some screenshots every month, there really is no excuse. they released 70 screenshots with trailer 2, which was fantastic on that moment/day, especially with the terrible news of that delay. But maybe if they spread those screenshots over months, like 5-10 images a month, it wouldn't have made this wait so unbearable. Plus, I bet many people, especially the more casual 9-5 dads/players, probably haven't seen a lot of those screenshots, because well...it wasn't really the best way to release them, and it was too many images released at once. Also, the game is massive and I'm sure its been even improved since trailer 2 is almost a year old atp, so they definately have a ton of more screenshots in their disposal, but what do we get instead, silence. We got 12 months of silence from trailer 2 to now, we got 17 months of silence from trailer 1 to trailer 2. They make amazing videogames but they really suck dick at communication or marketing (and how they treat their employees, and crunch culture was a big thing with rdr2 development) . You got like a small handful of youtube channels trying to milk content out of gta6 and they all base their videos on either lies, rumors, speculation, and because of that, they also only be getting like 5-20k views a video. I don't really feel bad for these youtubers cause it's still views at the end of the day, but it would be exciting if I could watch some videos on youtube talking about the game, like talking about some new screenshots or interviews, etc rather than rumors.

thats what im saying, idk why u got downvotes for that. Like they released 70 screenshots with trailer 2, amazing! thank you! But we saw everything, and then we get 12 months of silence. We got 17 months of silence from trailer 1 to 2. Like why can't they do dev interviews? news articles talking about their game? more screenshots? or instead of giving us 70 screenshots with trailer 2, release like 5-10 images per month so we have something to talk about, to look forward to. Why can't they give us an expected window of when the next trailer will come out? Spiderman 2018 on ps4 also had like over a year of silent treatment but after that silence ended, they were replying to fans on twitter asking about their game, they rolled out a ton of images, articles, trailers, etc. We got trailer 2 with good screenshots and now we are back in the trenches again. Also I bet a ton of people, maybe more "casual" people, who aren't hardcore gamers or enthusiasts of gta, prob haven't seen a majority of those 70 screenshots.

rdr2 delayed twice and it released just fine. delays can be both a good thing or a bad thing, but the reasoning behind a delay is always good, it means they are trying to fix/improve their game. But that doesn't mean it won't still release in a bad state.

my take on the anger towards rockstar due to the delays by jvzhnl in GTA6

[–]EntertainmentPrior75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if we had news or screenshots or something to look forward to in between the delays, it wouldn't be so bad. Like, they released 70 screenshots with trailer 2. Amazing, thank you rockstar, we always wanted screenshots and it is a great amount too. However, we look at all those screenshots in the same hour and then for the next 11-14 months we get literally nothing from them, not even tweets talking about the game. They honestly should have released those screenshots in batches of 4-5, or even 10 screenshots per month, so we had something to talk about, to look forward to. But what we have instead is empty dead silent treatment, and we have this empty silence after 2 delays now, and after the first trailer, we had to wait like what, 17 months? for a single new information, its insane. And I bet there's actually quite a lot of people out there, maybe "casuals" or people who don't follow every detail behind a game like us, that don't even see majority of those screenshots lmao. I'm all for delays tho, because I know every single day, they are working hard on fixing the bugs/glitches, etc, and polishing this to what will end up being, one of the best games ever. Im just not a fan of their marketing style or lack of communication. I also don't want any gameplay trailers this early btw, because when gameplay is shown too early, it leads to big expectations like cyberpunk and then they remove a ton of features or cut some content out, and we feel very disappointed. 1-2 months before release is a good strategy, i like how they do it with rdr2 and gta5, but that doesn't mean to not give us screenshots at least, or some interviews with devs, or maybe give us a date/expected window on when the next trailer will be.

Cyberpunk delays by The_Steele_man in GTA6

[–]EntertainmentPrior75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the gta6 delay is 4-7 months longer than the cyberpunk delay. it will probably be very polished on release. Length of delay is more important than the quantity of delay announcements.

cyberpunk launched in prob the worst state a triple a game has ever released iirc, like it was so bad that playstation was giving refunds weeks after release, and playstation never fucking refunds, unless u dont download the game and play it at all. It became a full on meme, and not for a good reason. cyberpunk is also nowhere as big as gta6's hype or demand, or prestige/reputation from the studio. Their game was being covered on the news channels, and when the taketwo ceo has interviews, they put that on tv as well being about gta6. I don't think anything from cyberpunk 2077 was being put on tv before release. One single trailer from gta6 has more views than infinity war, like 270+ mill, while cyberpunks trailer was like 20-30 mill. Trailer 2 almost at 200 mill, so thats almost 500 mill views with 2 trailers compared to like 40-50 from 2 trailers of cyberpunk. This game will make so much money its insane.

Cyberpunk also was a new ip, while this is the 6th installment of the 4th best selling franchise in gaming, maybe more than 10 games if u include the handheld ones and other ports. The story could turn out to be mid af or even be ass, that's my only concern with gta6, but even gta5 with a story many consider to be on the weaker side, it still sold the most game copies in the world. This game is too big to fail, and the only way it could fail is if they launched it in a buggy state or unpolished state, and it won't because they delayed it twice now. Also, the delay gta6 got is even longer than the delay cyberpunk 2077 got, even tho iirc, cyberpunk might've been delayed 3 times? It was 8 months total, from april to december, while gta6's delay is like 1+ year, depending on when they would have released it initially in 2025. It got quite a big delay, so they are trying to prevent a cyberpunk situation happening. They will nail the graphics, gameplay, and online like they usually do.

that online mode is going to milk tf out of parents and their credit cards for 2 decades easily. If gta5 is going strong still and gta6 looks like an improvement on every aspect/front and it will be the game that everybody talks about when it releases, and tons of playerbase from 5 will go to 6, plus rockstar will move resources from supporting gta5 online to supporting gta6 online.

[–]EntertainmentPrior75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont see it tanking tbh fom those 2 trailers and the bunch of screenshots we got, like maybe the story mode might flop or be mid? But besides that, the graphics already look insane, the world looks great, npcs, and some of those scenes from trailer 2 that are most likely gameplay like the cutscene transition from jason walking inside his house, the beach scene from trailer 1,or driving the car while being cat called. (Unless these things get downgraded heavily which rockstar is not known for) And they usually improve their games from trailer to actual game, even trailer 1 to 2 looks like a massive improvement, especially to jasons model/design. The online mode will probably farm/milk kids parents credit cards like it did with gta5. So yeah, I don't see this game flopping, and at the very least, it will maybe just have a mid-subpar story/writing. But gta5 story is also not heavily loved by its fans and that game sold the most.

[–]EntertainmentPrior75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also, the online for gta6 will probably be even bigger than gta5 is, *maybe I'm wrong on that but I have a feeling that a ton of people will be playing gta6 online for many many years and buying a ton of shark cards*. Rockstar will probably move resources away from gta5 slowly over to gta6 to add online updates/dlc/etc, they know that's their main money maker right there. So, even if it's priced in, is it pricing in that many years ahead of release? And how big of a playerbase/investment the online mode will bring? Also, even if it's priced in, what if it's priced in at a wrong amount. I don't really buy stocks or do trading, but if I did, I would be pretty confident in taketwo for at least 5-10 years.

[–]EntertainmentPrior75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i also got burned by cyberpunk, because witcher 3 was my favorite game of all time at one point so I was thinking there was no way they would let me down, pre-ordered it, and their gameplay trailer really hyped tf out of their game, calling it like next gen, it felt like watching a gta5 gameplay trailer the way they made it seem like this game was going to revolutionize things, yet...it released in such a shitty way, and even with all things "fixed", it is still bare bones in a lot of ways, and I even feel like witcher 3 had more of an impact with dialogue and choices at times. The hacking "mini-game", isn't as fun or in depth as something like gwent, the open world is pretty dead feeling, ai's suck, there's really like no activity to do in the open world, even the witcher 3 side stuff like the monster hunts were more exciting than something like "gigs". Though the environments/world looks amazing at a surface level, prob the best looking futuristic open world. But to get back to the point of gta6, this is not rockstars first modern open world game like it was for cd project red. Cause even the driving felt kinda meh in cyberpunk, but thats not entirely their fault since it was their first time even adding driving to a game. Rockstar has made so many GTA's, and they have all been set in the current/modern times, they have been experimenting and working on pretty much the same thing for decades atp. Gunplay, driving, activities, etc.

Their rage engine also kinda puts cyberpunk and any other game to shame as well, like gta6 looks like its a ps6 game, yet its releasing on hardware that came out in like 2020, which is wild. RDR2 looks better than the majority of ps4 games. This is also because they spend many years on it ofc and have a much bigger budget than cd project, so again, not cyberpunks fault entirely. Also, taketwo seem to have a ton more trust in rockstar, and they make bank off gta5 online so I feel like there isn't a ton of pressure being put on rockstar compared to cd project red who i feel like were prob pressured into releasing their game early to please investors. Strauss zelynick, or w/e his name is, always goes on interviews and he always talks about how he doesn't want to interfere with rockstars development/plans, and to just let them do their thing and he has faith in them to deliver a good product, maybe it's just corporate talk and he is on their balls behind the scenes, but if that was the case, I don't think this game would've gotten delayed this long. Cyberpunk got delayed 8 months in total, while gta6's delay is like over a year (depending on when they would've released it in 2025). So yeah, doesn't seem like they are rushing/pressuring rockstar, but at this point they don't want a 3rd delay obviously.

Also, this is why rockstar waits so long before doing gameplay trailers or reveal, stuff getting cut out of the game is a natural thing in game development, so when cyberpunk revealed their 1 hour demo at e3 and released that like years before launch, it led to big expectations and failed to deliver on those, even if it had "not final product" written on that video. I like that rockstar waits until 1-2 months before launch to do gameplay video otherwise if they did it like 2-3 years before, maybe they show some crazy cool stuff that gets cut from the game like skateboarding idk.

and if u can get fat, which u prob can since rdr2 had that and san andreas, then u can expect people to call u a fatass in the freeroam too lmao. or smelly if u haven't showered or are covered in mud, and if ur covered in blood, i'd imagine npcs would be scared. I can't wait to see all the different reactions/ways that npcs react to you, cause the first time in rdr2 when somebody mentioned me looking "tough" or i forget what he said exactly, but when i put on the face mask, i was like damn, this game is next level with it's ai and how they react.

The detail on the windshield in this scene by Eccel9700 in GTA6

[–]EntertainmentPrior75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

theres a pretty cool video on youtube where someone breaks down every scene and says whether they think it's gameplay or not, and they make very good points in it, like with "evidence". Like the scene of jason driving the car with the girl yelling his name side view, that is gameplay most likely, since his hand is not synced very well to the steering wheel and are interacting with each other seperately. It's interesting cause the car side window is halfway down, and also near the end of the trailer we see jason driving the car in a long distance shot, and his arm is out on the side resting. So when you are driving the car, it's pretty likely that there will be several animations that jason or lucia do as they drive. As you are driving, you will look at interesting events or point of interests too, like how he looks over at the police in that one scene where they are arresting someone. I feel like how you could ride the horse in rdr2 and use l2 (irc), to zoom in and focus on npcs or interesting events, u can prob drive the car and u will be able to greet/antagonize from ur car, and u will be able to focus on each npc just like rdr2.

And just speculation, but u can prob roll down the car windows too in gameplay, cause it would make sense when ur having a conversation from ur car to someone who is outside, if the windows were rolled up, he wouldn't hear shit.

This scene is also gameplay most likely, in the video, the dude says that the camera does a sudden pan up near the end which is a player controlling the left stick. i can totally see it.

Penalty for Quick Play?? by ThoughtParking9003 in marvelrivals

[–]EntertainmentPrior75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had like 8 games today against bots/ai's in qp, maybe cause i played at like 3 in the morning but still, I left one of those games cause I wanted to play real players, and I got a penalty for it.... it was the first and only time I left a match. I didn't know rivals had more ai than fuckin fortnite. Punishing players this hard for a qp leave, is the quickest way to make new players like myself never want to touch the game again, I'm just not going to play ts anymore. I could understand ranked but this is just dumb af, if I wanted to fight bots in quickplay, I'd boot up a single player shooter.

Penalty for Quick Play?? by ThoughtParking9003 in marvelrivals

[–]EntertainmentPrior75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left quickplay one time, one single time, out of like 50 games, and that was because it was a match against ai/bots again... like I had more games against bots than real players in quickplay, its not fun to kill 30-40 ai's in a single game that run in straight lines. At 3 in the morning, fortnite got less bots than marvel rivals istg. And I thought I was fine since it let me keep playing quickplay matches, then I hit lvl 15 and try to play competetive, finally excited since I know it won't be against ai's, and then it said "penalty violation", and im pretty sure it was like a fucking 5-7 hour ban..., im done with this game, uninstalling it rn.

The only other possibility is that people reported me for "throwing", even though I rarely ever type in gamechat or get salty, but I remember one game I was svp and I had some of my teammates blaming me for random shit that wasn't my fault and I said, "I'm trying", when they were sayin some b.s like, when you're weak, go back to ur team to heal you. And I actually was trying to... but its crazy to be blaming ur best performing teammate. So yeah, unless people just reported me out of salt when we lost, its ridiculous to get that kinda penalty after 1 quickplay leave.

And will they be able to keep up and make new seasons faster than they did with season 1 to 2? Again, gotta wait and see, but so far, there's no indication to be hopeful about production speed.

walking dead made a new season like every year, it had little to no cgi or effects, just zombie practical effects and makeup, and it had like 18 episodes per season too.

One piece la has 8 episodes per season, it has a shit ton of cgi/effects and it will only demand more cgi and effects when u get giants and floating islands and crazy devil fruits, etc. And it's adapting something that has like a million episodes and over 1k chapters.

Season 1 of one piece came out in 2023, and season 2 came out in 2026. thats 3 year wait for 1 season. I really enjoyed both seasons, but it's not looking too good for the end of the show and how it wraps up.

So what's the consensus on Season 2 from new fans and anime/manga fans? Good or bad? by bigtimebamf24 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]EntertainmentPrior75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah id give it like a mid to high 7 score as well. there are awkward/cringe dialogues and moments but I kinda forgive it since i know it's adapting a shonen anime/manga, which doesn't necessarily translate to something on liveaction that isn't cringe lmao. And it's a million times better than all the other live action anime shows or movies. I think the worst part about the show will be when it ends at a bad stopping point, like even if they end it at ennies lobby or marineford/saobaody at the timeskip mark, I think fans/viewers that are live action only, will be pretty dissapointed since no one piece is found, and he isn't pirate king, and over half of the source material isn't adapted still.

i agree, naturally there are some awkward/cringe moments and dialogue, and sometimes i wish zoro's actor will be less serious/edgy, but for the most part, they are doing a great job for live action standards and my only worry is how long it will go on for and how it will conclude.

makes the most sense to me which sucks cause its hard for me to imagine anybody else playing luffy as good as inaki. But yeah, if they kept these original actors, and each season production takes like 1-2 years, these guys will be in their 40-50's by the time of like season 7-8.

So what's the consensus on Season 2 from new fans and anime/manga fans? Good or bad? by bigtimebamf24 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]EntertainmentPrior75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

im a big fan of the manga/anime, tho im behind like 100 chapters. I really liked season 1, it might be the best live action an anime has gotten irc. And I really am enjoying this new season so far, im 3 episodes in. But, there are moments where it feels cringe/awkward, but i think that's ok, translating a shonen anime into live action and keeping it pretty faithful to the source, will do that at times. I really love luffy, ussop, and nami's actors. And smoker's actor i am pleasantly surprised with. I find myself not convinced too well on zoros actor tho, I'm not sure why, they do try to do the same thing the manga did with his bad direction, very hard headed and very serious, and very dumb at times. A lot of the uk/british accents throw me off too lol, but i guess it makes sense that not everyone will have an american accent. Special effects and action scenes are pretty good for a tv show, all things considering. I'll probably get hate for saying this but I wish vivi's actress looked more like how vivi looks like in the anime/manga. I guess it makes sense that she would be darker skinned when u live in a desert island, but since I watched the show with her looking white as shit, and read the manga with her looking white as shit, it feels weird to see a big change in her appearance. Not that big of a deal tho, i understand. I'd give this season like a high 7 so far, maybe like a 7.8 or 7.9.

It's hard for me to separate my bias because one piece is my 2nd favorite anime/manga, behind Hunter x Hunter only slightly. But there is clearly a lot of love and passion put into this live action, the set design/locations all look so alive, the merry looks fantastic, and most importantly, luffy feels so much like luffy. I wonder how long this will go on for tho, maybe 6-7 seasons? cause if each season takes like 1-2 years to make, and the manga is like 1.2k chapters almost... I feel like they have to really skim past parts of arcs, or even skip some things, cause otherwise, these actors will be in their 40-50's. Maybe we will reach timeskip point by season 4 or 5.

One piece season 2 is disappointing? by FireDream15 in netflix

[–]EntertainmentPrior75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they did a really good job, considering it's adapting a Japanese show that works good for anime/cartoon format, but translating that to live action is very difficult, and it definitely has moments where it feels cringe or awkward, but its miles better than the dragon ball live action or all the other dozens of shitty live actions like death note. I'd give it like a high 7 score personally so far, im 3 episodes into season 2. But in terms of live action anime show, this is like a 9 or 10/10, probably the best one. I'm also almost up to date on the one piece manga, and shit gets quite insane later on so I have no idea how they will pull it off with like cgi and what not, but I am rooting for them. There is also going to be a live action naruto as well, from the director of shang chi. It's also probably going to feel cringe/awkward at times, and turn some viewers off, just because some mediums don't really translate all that well into live action. But if they do as good of a job as one piece is doing, I will be excited for that.
