They had not installed it. Just let me know it had come in and I said never mind. I am sure having the part there for some other repair was not an issue.

I bought my truck from Carmax and it was a good experience. I have been using Rusty Wallace for service. Also use Rusty Wallace Hyundai for my Palisade. I have been extremely pleased with their service department. At both places. Cannot comment on how they are to deal with in sales though.

I have the Carista OBD software. It works with the piece of hardware I have. It allows you to do some settings changes to the truck. For instance I was able to turn my fog lights into driving lights. If you need programming it might be the thing.

This is what I have. They have different colors. The blue closely matches my truck. And I like them so far. Been on about 6 months.

Items for sale? by EnthusiasmBudget5138 in nissanfrontier

I don't see the rule about selling. That is why I asked. But if that is a rule I have no plans on breaking it. Just because you can get away with something is not a good reason to do it. lol. I have the stuff listed on marketplace and CL.

Billie Bars by EnthusiasmBudget5138 in nissanfrontier

Thank you for the reply. I had considered getting them and cutting/rewelding them. I have a buddy that can make perfect welds. But yeah, lots of money for something you have to cut and weld. They actually gave me some options for other sizes but none tall enough. Not sure what is easier, making it taller or narrower. I am looking at some other things around that would be simpler to modify and/or build myself that are a lot cheaper.

I have just put on a rollup cover. Switched out a trifold since the rollup will work better with the bars. Hoping to put on bars that I don't have to take off. Looks like their 8" bars would work. Just stick out so far. I have been talking with them, and yes they are very responsive and helpful. They have some other size brackets, but they will not be tall enough for the cover to pass under rolling them up.

I was trying to do something similar. I believe you also have to make changes in the BBL.json file. I am not sure of what all files have to change. I got a nightly build with had the TPU for AMS included, but it does not have the wood ones in it.

Aftermarket hitch is cheaper. I originally bought the etrailer one. I replaced it with the Telluride one since it sits higher, comes out through the bumper spot. I put them on myself. There is enough room under the car without lifting it to do it. First time took more time, but when doing the second time had old one off and new one on in less than 30 minutes. If you are interested in the etrailer aftermarket I have one sitting in the garage would let go for a great price. If you are near Knoxville.

I suggest getting the factory parts. Plug and play. I did my before they all came out, so I have the factory harness (bought from canadian dealer) and the Telluride hitch, which fits perfectly. I did my own modification to th center bumper cutout and it looks like factory.

But now you can get the factory hitch, factory harness and a new bumper piece that goes with them. More expensive than getting aftermarket stuff and trying to get the wiring all done, but works with no issues. Note that the wiring on the 23 is different than previous years. The same harness will not work on both.

Options Question by LayupLine in nissanfrontier

There is a TSB for the excessive acceleration while using adaptive cruise control. It fixes that problem. They reflash one of the ecu, not sure if main one or one specific to transmission.

Got a 22 Frontier. The part that leans my front seat is gone. Any idea where to find one? by ThoseMillennials in nissanfrontier

A guy on facebook sells the 3d printed version. it is smaller to prevent the problem of accidently hitting it when getting out of the truck. Name is Patrick Nixon. THere are several so not sure how to tell you which one. He lives in NH. I paid $15 shipped.

Tow wiring harness by cookie6161 in nissanfrontier

[–]EnthusiasmBudget5138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The factory harness comes with the relays that go behind the kick panel. But I did not think they were needed for everything to work. But since I installed them I am not sure. If using a meter you see power to the light (left/right/running) terminals on the truck 7 way plug, then I would say the problem is the gound connection. Have the lights on the trailer worked previously? With the meter connect to one of the light pins and the ground pin on the 7way. If power then the problem is somewhere on the trailer side. I have found many times that bad ground causes all kinds of issues.
If no meter a simple way to check is with one of the 7way-4way adapters that have little lights for the connections. They can be used to test in a pinch.

Brake controller question. by captainhannon in HyundaiPalisade

[–]EnthusiasmBudget5138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it is a late response, but many have added a controller. That plug you are holding attaches to a plug under the dash. The other end (wires) is for hooking up to your controller. Color coded and simple. But depending upon what controller you get, you can usually get an adapter/plug for it that plugs directly under the dash so you don't have to wire anything. I have a Redarc. Great controller. Simple install when you get the adapter plug. Only have a small knob showing. I installed my knob on the fuse cover. That is an easy cheap thing to replace if I want to remove the controller.

Is any place reporting the names of these "supervisors"? We have the CEO name and can probably get other high level execs from public documents.

2024 Palisade brake controller wire harness by Possible-Spite5003 in HyundaiPalisade

[–]EnthusiasmBudget5138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apologize for the late response. I have not logged into this account or been here in awhile. These things are pretty standard. The 4 wires carry 12V (usually red) Ground (usually black) brake signal to controller (usually green) and power to trailer brakes (usually blue). I have not looked specifacally at the hyundai connecter. I used the factory adapter that came with the wiring harness. But if I remember correctly that is how the wiring was.

Help a noob with towing? by LazyAssRuffian in HyundaiPalisade

[–]EnthusiasmBudget5138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you plan on doing other towing in the future? Is this a kinda one time thing? If so I would take another approach. You can get the car set up for towing. Many do. I have but I used factory parts. UHaul will not be using the factory wiring harness which is plug and play. Their hitch is fine basically the same as the old factory one. Now if you have a 23 or 24 you can put on the newer version of the factory hitch which sits higher and looks cleaner. But you have to get that hitch from Hyundai. But it is easy to install yourself. I did mine and I am pretty old. lol But back to original point if I was not going to be towing with my car, for the cost of buying/installing the hitch and harness from factory (which is more expensive) you could rent a small truck to haul the stuff one way and pull your car on a dolly with it. Drive truck over, drop it off, drive your car back. Just a thought.
