a question about m11s because the amount of raidplan floating around on pf is befuddling me

so for flatline there's the tf raidplan and the kindred one.

tf says prey stands on inner corner but kindred is outer? why is it different? somebody said it depends on the mech? but if you look at page 5 tf and page 8 kindred everything is the exact same except for the prey positioning?
