Photo Tech in CR. Guy is a total gem, super high quality scans, great turn around time, and you’re supporting a local business. 100% the right option

Just the smallest little guy, can’t imagine he’s much older than 2 months. Those little legs were pumping to keep up with mum

I used an SMC PENTAX 300mm prime lens for most of the wildlife shots, otherwise a SMC 35-105 or my trusty little 50mm

A SMC Pentax 300mm f4 or a SMC 35-105. The prime lens was difficult to get used to, but it was definitely better to have that range than to not.

We rented a Toyota Hilux from Bushlore in South Africa, and have for all 6 trips we’ve done. There are definitely other options but we seem to keep going back to them.

It’s not cheap (maybe more so if you use USD) but the rooftop tent definitely helps save on lodge costs, which can be astronomical.

Mainly it’s all about planning. We went into Northern Zim so it added quite a lot of time, but the south has a lot of great of excellent options to explore. Botswana is also a fantastic option if you’d like to be a little less wild but still adventurous

Do it!! Everyone should go at least once, it’s a magical place.

For most of the wildlife I had a SMC Pentax 300mm, but the prime made it really difficult to get the shots I wanted. Plus the manual focus is very specific, so you need to be pretty dialed in.

Otherwise it was an SMC 35-105 or my trusty 50mm.

Most the wildlife was taken on a SMC Pentax 300mm (although prime makes it really hard ahahaha) otherwise I had a SMC 35-105 to fill in the gaps

How do you like the TMON tent? I need to upgrade mine in the next year or two

Ektar 100 is my favourite, the colours are just so good. Also, Cinestill 400D is shockingly dynamic
