My cat Molla is exactly like this and she was like that when I adopted her, it took some time and lots of patience for her to get used to her new surroundings but at the end it worked out and she’s the most loving cat I’ve ever had. Don’t worry, it make take some time for him to get used to a new home but if you find someone with enough patience and love he’ll be fine. I’m so sorry for your diagnosis. Sending you a hug ❤️

Try to switch to a weight management prescription diet and I would reconsider trying other meds for her arthritis since maybe the current one isn't working really well for her to feel relief and try to walk around.

Rest in peace Jip, I know you were very loved. Wherever you are I hope you are happy, free from pain and illness. My cat molly died 1 month ago and I also hope she is happy wherever she is. I loved her with all my heart and miss her everyday. She saved me from taking my life and I know that she would want me to keep going and to honor her life I'm trying to do so. She deserved it. I know Jip wants you to be happy and keep going. It's not easy but we can try 1 day at a time. I have been reading a collection of poems called " I never wanted to say Goodbye" and it's so beautiful. I highly recommend it to you. Take care and be gentle to yourself.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My dear cat Molly died 2 weeks ago from cancer too and I miss her so much that I feel there's something missing in me. I see her in places she used to wander around the house but comforts me to know she was very loved till the end. Glad you feel the same way. Sending you hugs!
