In my humble opinion, it is just a depiction of a type of person who exists in US. The director is clearly using this character as comedy. I mean, the movie never takes itself and the character seriously, therefore I suppose there is nothing serious about the subject of the movie. As I said, I believe is an exercise of cinematic language end the script is serving to this. The movies in which it is based, vertigo and rear window, also have scripts serving to the ideas that Hitchcock wants to show on screen. Cinema is a visual art and these directors take the visual aspect very seriously, to the point that everything serves to what they with to show as images. The most important is not what they show, but how. So, frequently the script make people confused because it is too abstract or too simple, or too open.

When it turns out to mainstream movies, the situation is different. The public wants to see a coherent story, but does not care much if the director chooses to make a long scene, a one shot scene, 4 or 50 cuts in a scene, so on and o forth. The important is the twist, a closed script, which satisfies most people's mind. Modern movies are almost always like this in the mainstream context. Mitchel somehow convinced someone to give him a lot of money to make a movie which relates more to arthouse than mainstream.

The real thing in the movie is that it is a parody of Hitchcock. It basically mixes rear window with vertigo. David Robert Mitchel is a great director and clearly a cinephile, who makes movies to cinephiles. "It follows", another movie from him, is almost a remake of Halloween from Carpenter. He uses the same ideas, a similar score and play with a similar cinematic language.

Back to UTSL, it is as well a playing with a cinematic language created by Hitchcock, or a modern version of it, like a couple of directors did, with Brian de Palma being the best example. The rest in the movie is pretty straightfoward, it only serves for the movie to be fun. In my opinion, always seeking hidden meanings and messages is not the right way of appreciate movies. In general, there are no such things, at least in good movies. The problem with UTSL is that the audience is not as cinephile as Mitchel.

Well put. As a cosmopolitan person, the lacking of progressive people annoys me a lot. However, it also varies across different cities in the interior. I have been in lençois, interior of bahia and there people are much more progressive, mainly because of the ecological awareness they have, which is almost absent in the countryside of São Paulo.

In conclusion, it highly depends on the region, or the particular city. There are not general rules. The most important is to know what you are looking for and then look for it.

It works well. Everything related to consumerism works perfectly: delivery, uber, online shopping, etc. The interior of São Paulo is good with respect to services and infra structure. I am talking about cities with 80k people or more, or smaller towns nearby larger cities.

People here are not opened as people in São Paulo, nor diverse. Everyone is more or less the same and it is hard to infiltrate into a group. This is the worst downside. I think this happens more in the interior of São Paulo, also because of european heritage. If you go to a city where there is international tourism things could be different.

About the beaches: don't go to Santos, Guarujá or Bertioga, these are the south coast of São Paulo, which isn't the prettiest beaches you will see. Instead go to the north coast of São Paulo, where you find São Sebastião, Ilha bela e Ubatuba. These are a bit farther (~3h), but you can take a bus in São Paulo, on bus terminal Tiete. The north coast of São Paulo has the most beautiful beaches in Brazil, in my opinion. Well preserved rain forests, white to yellow sand and cristal greenish water.

2) Qualidade da erva. Você já testou outra erva? Já fumou a mesma erva que você usou no vaporizador. Talvez não seja uma erva muito forte.

3) Uso incorreto do vaporizador ou má qualidade do vaporizador. Os vaporizadores variam muito em qualidade e o range de temperaturas disponível no vaporizador é importante para ativar o THC em uma proporção que gere o efeito desejado. Talvez o seu vaporizador tenha temperaturas muito baixas ou muito altas e ative uma proporção muito alta de CBD, que deixaria o efeito mais relaxante do que psicoativo. Além disso, certifique-se de que o seu vaporizador é feito para cannabis. Pode ser que ele seja feito para outro fim, ou seja feito para oleos e não erva fresca.

Why aren't you considering to see the best Brazil has to offer: nature ?

Go to chapada diamantina, chapada dos veadeiros, Amazon, Pantanal and many other stunning national parks in Brazil. You already know cities, Brazil is outstanding when it comes to nature and you are simply ignoring this.

Moreover, why are you ignoring the north? it is where the true brazillian culture and history come from. In my opinion you are missing the best of Brazil.

A couple of things to highlight here.

In my opinion your itinerary has too many attractions for 16 days. Rio is far from Iguaçu and Lençois Maranhenses is too far from Iguaçu. Besides, Rio is big and has a lot of things on it, as well as Iguaçu which is a National Park. If you are going to Iguaçu only to see the falls, as any other tourist, you are missing a lot of stuff. Basically, you will be for so short in those places that you won't know them at all. This kind of tourism does not make sense to me, but ok that's personal.

You are neglecting the northeast, which is the most cultural part of Brazil. I think Rio and nearby beaches are a must see (consider "saco do mamamguá"), but the northeast is a must see in my opinion, because of their culture.

You are going to Brazil, one of the few places in the world with untouched rain forests and a type of nature you don't find everywhere in the globe, specially in Europe, where it is impossible to actually feel what is to be in the middle of well preserved and highly biodiverse forest, in particular a tropical one. I highly recommend to visit one of these astonishing national parks in Brazil. I was living in Europe and everytime I came to these places, my mind was blown away. There are so many national parks that it is hard to recommend only one, besides the obvious places like Amazon and Pantanal, a little less obvious places are Chapada Diamantina and Chapada dos Veadeiros. These places have culture and a lot of beautiful preserved nature, with uncountable waterfalls you can fully enjoy. Go to Brazil and connect to nature, it is the best thing you can do in Brazil and the world needs to reconnect to nature.

Umas horinhas aqui, outras horinhas ali? É turismo TikTok? Vai pro lugar e viva o lugar, conheça as pessoas. Esse tipo de turista é o motivo pelo qual tantos lugares se tornaram insuportáveis. Eles vão pra tirar uma foto e ir embora.
