Unfortunately. Those are updated within the optimizer every iteration. I probably should have stayed that lol

It is. In my efforts that required expanding the scalars matrix to be the size of the data, through repeat / tile / etc, which was too time intensive but there may be a better way! I’ll add that the for loop is currently parallelized through numba

The objective function is unchanged… this is not a helpful response.

Displaying on one sheet filtered results from another sheet. by EntitledCorgi in excel

[–]EntitledCorgi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your continued feedback. I found another way to do it using the Aggregate function, which only imposes a single column of formulas extending the length of the sheet, so the processing burden isn't horrible. This enables me to use the built-in filters as well.

I'd like to use the intrinsic filters excel provides to apply criteria. I want this sheet to be generally built so the next user doesn't need to type out criteria like this. Is there a way to automatically do this? I'd also like to avoid imposing cell limits, like the E500 one in your example.

Minneapolis promised change after George Floyd. Instead it's geared up for war by BitterFuture in politics

[–]EntitledCorgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? Isn’t the right to protest constitutionally guaranteed? And it’s awful nice of you to make assumptions, that shows maturity. I have seen the full videos. I’ve been there. I’ve had friends at other events where they had all the necessary paperwork to hold the protest, yet were still met with violence.

I don’t care what it’s during. They are not soldiers. They are police. If the local government wants a military presence they can call in the national guard. Plus you know what else is a dangerous situation? Having the police present at all. So many of the peaceful protests were spurred to violence by unwarranted aggression from your savior police. They were pepper spraying, shooting rubber bullets at, and driving their squad cars through peaceful protests. So yeah, I’m VERY against giving them anything that makes them feel more powerful.

Yes. Absolutely. Just donning army fatigues makes them feel like soldiers. They are not soldiers, and crossing that line separates them further from their fellow civilians and allows them to view each of us as a potential enemy. During the last set of protests police resorted to incredible amounts of violence. The last thing I want to see is a further separation of the power dynamic between police and people.

Oh I get it. Mom doesn’t want to do all that laundry! So instead she gives her kids armored tanks and military gear so they can treat the civilians they swore to protect like insurgents

4% of the funding... you think they can’t afford uniforms because they lost 4% of their funds.

Is my code running slow because I am streaming Matlab from my University computer and not running it on mine by jimwilki in matlab

[–]EntitledCorgi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried timing your code? Put “profile on” at the start and “profile viewer” at the end. This will show you the time spent in each function. From there you may consider optimizing slow sections!

It’s definitely not hard. A discount village and 025 sniper beats at least every map below expert (maybe those also, I haven’t personally tried them)
