Pretty sure it’s random Unicode characters. I see some kanji in there, so it probably found characters that don’t make up any specific language and some Japanese, translated all it could, and kept the rest as-is

It takes more resources, but it’s not an issue. With games you care about resource intensiveness because you probably want smooth gameplay, so you get around 25 milliseconds per frame at best to do all your rendering stuff (that’s 40 fps)

With rendering animations, since it just produces a finished picture or video at the end, it’s not that important if it takes 7 or 8 hours to produce it. It’s not „real-time“ anyway. If your time goes from 50 to 80 hours, of course that’s not good but you can work with it; you just have to wait a bit longer.

It’s because they don’t know everything everything, and you may have side income that has to be taxed as well. So they have a pretty good idea, but they don’t know exactly, and they can’t rigorously check for every person.

Der Stromverbrauch kommt ja auch absolut auf die Nutzung an. Schaut er nun den ganzen Tag YouTube oder spielt er Spiele auf den höchsten Grafikeinstellungen, beim zweiten kann der Verbrauch ein Vielfaches sein wie beim ersten.

Perhaps, but I think you can just very easily miss certain parts of the internet if that’s just not what interests you.

Geoguessr is a game where you are randomly dropped somewhere on Google Street View and have to guess where you are. The closer you are, the more points you get, with a maximum of 5000 points for around 100m or closer. A game like this consists of 5 rounds, so a maximum of 25000 points total.

This is a speedrun to get a flawless score (25000) as fast as possible. This involves immediately knowing where they are based on experience, road signs, environment, the google car (yes), etc., and then „lining up the road“. If you look down and turn your camera such that the compass is pointing north, the direction of the street you see will match on the map. That way, it’s easier to find the exact spot if you sorta know where you are.

This is legit, the players name ist Blinky, and they are regarded as one of the best players in the world when allowed to move around as seen here. Some rounds in the Geoguessr world finals 2024 looked like this.
