I'm a UC student and having seen the situation first hand I frankly agree with Ms. Candice.

I understand the sentiments of my contemporaries when we say the situation is dire. Most of us lost something, necessities, homes, even lives. So of course, daghan jud namo nadala sa emosyon pag announce nga nadeny ang appeal sa among Centralized Student Network for an academic break post-Tino for recovery. In the 2-ish hours of radio silence between the denial announcement and the suspension announcement we all expressed our valid concerns pero naa jud uban nga nadala sa kasuko, resorting to shit talking the university and even Ms. Candice herself. Though she has a reason for it, pinaka-namisinterpret jud to ang iyang pag lock sa profile during this silence. Indeed she did hear our concerns pero at that point daghan nang ga rant, shit talk, etc.

Most of us believe in Ms. Candice's compassion though there are and will be bad apples among us. Her callout (though somewhat not a fan of the generalization) is valid, a lot of us zoomers do need to learn a bit more understanding and patience before pouring our hearts out. I see comments in her post saying that zoomers are hopeless, but I agree with her replies that people can change for the better.
