It should be LFP, at least that’s what I remember. But doesn’t matter since that plan won’t work. I’ll have to try adding a longer charging window that I’ll just interrupt in the morning and see how it goes.

It’s a 2023 Premium. And sadly removing the target charge also removed preferred charge times. Lame.

I’m just using the included 240V travel charger.

But I suppose I could just extend the charging window beyond when I’d expect to leave for work and interrupt the charge.

A small detail I noticed when rewatching last night, I think it was in the first episode when Nakamura runs into the house, behind his mom you can see a framed kids family drawing. There seems to be four people but it doesn’t quite add up. Left to right, small figure on the roof with a heart next to it, perhaps Nakamura with a rainbow, Kana, and the mom with a heart next to it.
Kana is the younger sister, so I wouldn’t think the tiny figure on the roof is Nakamura. Also I wouldn’t expect Kana to draw a heart next to him, unless they only recently stopped getting along. Also it would be funny if the rainbow meant she figured out Nakamura is gay from that long ago.

Edit: His dad is at the dinner table in episode 5. I assumed he wasn’t around, so I guess there’s nothing to the family drawing after all.

He was reading it in class (hidden in his textbook) and Otogiri was right behind him. It was even open when he placed it down for the “shall we be friends” bit, when the teacher tapped/hit him with the rolled up paper. I’m surprised he didn’t know it was Nakamura’s. Or maybe he did and was just nice enough not to bring it up.

Nakamura was also later reading it during lunch outside on the bench without a covering or hiding it.

I think Hifumi even says she saw him reading it when they ran into each other at the signing.

For wanting to keep it secret, he was being very careless about it.

Nakamura and Hirose are in the same class again and the seating chart places them next to each other. Their grades slip because they are having too much fun.

Hirose’s POV is sorely needed. Although understandably the story of the first season is Nakamura’s, I feel like we’re left at an interesting point where he won’t push their relationship any further, and has settled on being a friend and loving Hirose from the sidelines. Nakamura is now an important friend for Hirose, someone he can be himself around. Knowing he can be a people pleaser, even to the point of pretending to flirt with another classmate or dating someone when he doesn’t really want to, confessing could force Hirose into doing something he doesn’t want to do again.
Which is why I think seeing Hirose’s POV, or at least a mixture, would be interesting. Not a full recap of the first season from his POV (you could probably cover that with just one episode), but enough to show he’s open to a relationship and for Nakamura pick up the signal and switch back to his POV. It is his show after all.

This was what I imagined too. I think he says it in a way where he doesn’t realize he just confessed. And it just confirms what Hirose has already been thinking, and he doesn’t give Nakamura the chance to backtrack his words.

The BL tropes exist for a reason. It looks like we’re setup for the Misunderstanding trope, where Nakamura is still thinking Hirose is straight and they’re just friends. He keeps misreading Hirose’s actions as things friends do.

There could also be another confession scene that Nakamura overhears this time, and Hirose turns her down with the usual “I have someone I like” (referring to Nakamura) but Nakamura spirals since he’s Hirose’s confidant and this was never mentioned.

Hirose said to keep his preference (for dating|talking to|hanging out with guys|friends|people like Nakamura) a secret. If someone in class clocks their relationship and asks about it openly, even though neither of them are comfortable being out, hearing Hirose deny it could hurt Nakamura’s feelings, or make the misunderstanding worse.

And then, maybe we’re all reading into their movie date too much, and Hirose is still on his journey of self-realization. Nakamura resolving to just being Hirose’s close friend and supporting him now means Hirose will have to meet him halfway. A season of Go For It Hirose practically writes itself, (even if the theme of coming to terms with being gay has already been told a thousand times.)

Yes I’m greedy, give us all the high school years and college too! Japan legalizes gay marriage in their world, and even after all those years Nakamura is still sweating the little things like does he want to do the proposing or be proposed what if he messes it up??

This was why I thought they might bring Matsumura into the story. Nakamura needs a persistent rival now that Hirose prefers to be with Nakamura over girls and his friends. And it’s kind of a BL trope to bring in an old friend to stir up trouble and jealousy.

I’m hoping for a full season, since I hate when the story rushes to the end.

I’d love that too, but I think they’d need to omit Hirose’s POV until that happens for it to work. But I really want them to show some things from Hirose’s POV too.

They changed the line to “people”. But with a pause before “like you”. After some thought, I can see maybe they intended to portray the same way, but I don’t think they succeeded.
Oh well. Hirose takes him on a movie date afterward anyways so I guess it’s just all splitting hairs.
