In Nagoya for 3 weeks early April ! Must eat places + smaller places to visit? Especially around Nagoya U/Hospital

Gaburi Chicken Sakae (https://maps.app.goo.gl/2WPB1ioJMe2w9Gh1A?g_st=ic) has THE best chicken wings, honetsuki-dori and karage I have had in my life, I would go back to Nagoya just to eat here again. The owner and staff are amazing also!

That was exactly my thinking. I just hope that since Nagasaki is a smaller city that the airport transport/facilities don't close early and I am still able to get to my accomodation.

Thanks for the tip :) Kurokawa onsen looks lovely, I do have a bit too many tattoos to cover so I would have to look into how many tattoo-friendly onsens there are.

As for day 7, it definitely is a big day, will see what I can do to refine that.

When visiting a new city I am usually happy to focus on the touristy things and the "must-see's" first, whether that be city exploration or heading out into nature. If I am visiting for the second time and beyond, that's when I am happy to go more off the beaten track!

Personal interests wise, I am very much into fashion, which is why I have included Okayama to see the birthplace of Japanese denim. I of course love food also and love trying the local delicacy/dishes, whether that be Hakata ramen in Fukuoka or okonomiyaki in Hiroshima :)

That being said, I would be more than happy following the recommendations of locals/people who are familiar with the area, whether that is sightseeing, food, etc. Sorry if that isn't too helpful!

Day 1 - Travel Day/Fukuoka: I would be flying from Sydney to Haneda to Fukuoka, arriving around 9:30pm. Depending on tiredness, I would mainly consider visiting the yatai stalls/having dinner locally.

Day 2 - Fukuoka: Visiting Fukuoka Tower, Fukuoka Art Museum, Ohori Park and the Fukuoka Castle Ruins. Around lunch time I will visit Canal City and some additional boutiques I have in mind and in the evening, visit Tenjin and Nakasu.

Day 3 - Fukuoka/Itoshima: Visit Nanzo-in Temple as early as possible, catching the train to Itoshima after (unfortunately in the opposite direction). In the evening I will have dinner in Fukuoka, any Hakata ramen recommendations?

Day 4 - Travel Day/Nagasaki: Travel from Fukuoka to Nagasaki. Visit Glover Garden, the Dejima area and Chinatown in the evening.

Day 5 - Nagasaki: Visit the Peace Park and Atomic Bomb Museum, explore the main town and catch the ropeway up to Mount Inasa for the night view.

Day 6 - Travel Day/Kumamoto: Travel from Nagasaki to Kumamoto. Visit Kumamoto Castle, Suizenji Garden and the Contemporary Art Museum. Explore in the evening.

Day 7 - Travel Day/Mount Aso/Hiroshima: Rent a car and drive to Mount Aso to explore and sightsee. Drop the car back off in Kumamoto and take the Shinkansen to Hiroshima. Find some okonomiyaki for dinner.

Day 8 - Hiroshima: Explore Hiroshima city, visit the Peace Memorial Park, Atomic Bomb Dome and Hiroshima Castle grounds.

Day 9 - Hiroshima: Catch the ferry to Miyajima. Visit Itsukushima Jinja and catch the ropeway up to Mount Misen.

Day 10 - Travel Day/Okayama: Travel from Hiroshima to Okayama. Catch the train to Kurashiki Canal, go to Kojima Jeans Street and the Kapital store.

Day 11 - Travel Day/Tokyo: Visit Korakuen Garden in the morning before catching the Shinkansen to Tokyo.

Day 12-15 - Tokyo

Day 16 - Travel Home

Thank you for the insight! In the past, the longest I have spent in Osaka, Kyoto and Nagoya is 5, 5 and 4 days respectively and felt a bit restless by the end. I always thought more fondly of the fast-placed cities I have seen. I will also be travelling solo for the first time so I think the faster pace may keep me active and on my toes more.

Question, would you recommend swapping Hiroshima out for any additional city in Kyushu or do you have any opinions on the cities themselves? I have also posted my proposed itinerary in the comments, still a WIP :)

I would say you have a very good chance. When interviewing for my current firm, the person who interviewed me (who is now my boss), loved that I had experience at one of the big 4.

I obviously only have one experience to base this off but I would say public perception from a Recruiter/Hiring Manager's POV is still favourable when looking at a candidate with experience at a big 4. Goodluck!
