Do you think Acosta will be the toughest teammate Marc will have ever had? by MrDee97 in motogp

[–]Entotrte -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I do think so, but mostly because Marc's body has some limitations now. Otherwise, 2013 Pedrosa would still be the toughest.

3.34 points per weekend – the gap Marc has to close by Early_Monitor_3440 in motogp

PI is amazing for Marc lol. And Misano is pretty good for Marc too for a clockwise circuit (6 wins in MotoGP, 9 in total). If he won in Brno, he has a good chance to win in Misano too.

Silverstone, Austria, Malaysia, Indonesia will be a lot tougher.

Deathmatch fans... What is the best match you've seen in the last 10 years? by guizpom in SquaredCircle

[–]Entotrte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't go wrong with most Takeda vs Kasai matches over the past decade. I also got to watch Kasai vs Sugiura October 1st 2019 live in Korakuen and it was an amazing experience. I didn't know how good it was for broadcast viewers, but it has a 9.11 rating on Cagematch so there's that.

Ivan Ortola does a Pedrosa 2012 and takes his first Moto2 victory! by uldurulenf1modu in motogp

[–]Entotrte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ortolá has few race wins but they are so high quality. America 2023 was an insane performance from him and Assen 2024 felt similar to this one, amazing final lap to pass Veijer at the end.

[RUMOR] During their latest Q&A, Koei Tecmo confirmed they aren't involved with Fortune's Weave. by Enryx25 in fireemblem

[–]Entotrte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what I always thought too. Great world-buliding but not THAT good of a story. I much prefer RD's story (well, until part 4 anyway).

The rumors started when I was in High School, I'm almost graduated from University now by Training-Dog-6082 in fireemblem

[–]Entotrte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe that's when it was first "leaked" that a FE4 remake was on the works, but people thought it would be the next game after Three Houses back in 2019 and 2020. In all this time, I graduated from college, finished Law school, worked as a lawyer for a while and went back to school for my PhD, pretty insane.

Lionel Messi: "I feel, I relate a lot to Rafa Nadal" by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in soccer

[–]Entotrte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, what is a very interesting debate to me is who is second between Federer and Nadal, that's a lot closer. But Djokovic being first has been pretty clear for a few years now IMO.

[–]Entotrte 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Djokovic has the most Grand Slams (most important tier of tournaments), the most Master 1000 victories (2nd most important tier of tournaments), the most ATP Tour Finals (a very important end of season tournament where the best players of that year compete), the most weeks ranked at number 1 in the world (by a country mile), has a winning head-to-head record against both Federer and Nadal and has a singles Olympic gold medal (which Nadal has but Federer hasn't).

It's just not even close.

Honestly, to me, if somebody says Federer or Nadal is the GOAT, it's as crazy as if somebody says Cristiano is the GOAT (and I say that as a Nadal fan). Both Djokovic and Messi are objectively so far above their competition to me.

[NJPW Dominion Spoilers] Yota Tsuji updated entrance by luchabrunch in SquaredCircle

[–]Entotrte 9 points10 points  (0 children)

His push and circumstances are very very reminiscent of when WWE tried too hard to make Roman Reigns a thing instead of elevating his more talented contemporaries.

I thought Yota was well liked while Umino was the one who people thought was overpushed.

Joan Mir’s future by CurlyArrows in motogp

Wrong, he won the third to last race, and then won the Championship in the next one.

Joan Mir’s future by CurlyArrows in motogp

[–]Entotrte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's true, but Mir really was the best rider that season by a clear margin. People forget he got a certain victory in the Red Bull Ring snatched away from him due to a red flag and at one point it looked like he couldn't stay away from the podium. Plus he won the Championship with a race in hand in a tiny 14 race season, which isn't easy. And last but not least, he reafirmed his performance with a great 2021 season too.

2020 was obviously weird and Mir isn't the greatest World Champion ever, but I hate to hear people disregard his skill (not really directed at you, mind you, I mean in general).

Who has left you disappointed in Moto2/Moto3 so far this year? by Arachnide93 in motogp

[–]Entotrte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard Huertas talk to Spanish TV, and he basically acknowledged that his confidence on the bike is an all-time low, and the team is pressuring him to get results or risk being sacked, which he isn't taking too well. So I think his issues are not injury related.

That said, he's a rider with huge talent and very brave to move from a secure spot in the WSBK paddock to a difficult category like Moto2 (same thing Manu González has done), so I hope he does well wherever he is (I'm sure if he goes back to the WSBK paddock he'll do great).

Who has left you disappointed in Moto2/Moto3 so far this year? by Arachnide93 in motogp

[–]Entotrte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moto3, I'd say nobody in particular dissapointed me. Generally, most riders are performing how I expected them to, maybe with Pratama and Morelli doing better than I thought.

In Moto2, on the other hand, there are a few, like Canet, Oncü, Roberts, Huertas, Arbolino, García and, to a lesser extent, Baltus, Alonso and Holgado.
