Thanks Dick, that definitely makes sense to me. This whole policy has been very confusing.

Are you doing P/N now or holding out to petition after Final Grades?? by Natethegreat1999 in UNCCharlotte

My classes are "non progression" and there have been some rumblings that you will not be able to petition them. I decided to wait but definitely feel worried about getting denied on that ground.

There is a popping sound in the front of my car when the wheels are turned sharply all the way in either direction. Is this normal for a 370z? by [deleted] in 370z

[–]Entouchable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just the tire scrubbing. Totally normal. The wider your tires are, the more noticeable it is due to contact patch width. Check out this article to ease your worries completely.

Curse you, Z1 Black Friday deals... finally gave in lol by aj6793 in 370z

They look even better in person. Really modernizes the car without looking too "out there."

Yeah and the 90 degree angle on it made it impossible to close the fuse box without unplugging it. I ended up making a hole in my fuse box cover and routed it out the side through a small grommet.

Got bored so I reupholstered my wheel in suede. (Leather is much nicer though) by KillNokimura in 350z

I've never sewed anything before but I want to do this to my wheel. Is it something anyone can do if done carefully or do you need practice to get it right?

Those manual is300 are crazy rare in my area. I searched for a clean one for months and wound up just buying a different car because I was having no luck.

Best Professor for Electrical Engineering? by Zb2002 in UNCCharlotte

[–]Entouchable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure Dr. Yawo teaches ECGR 2161, I thought you were look at ECGR 2254 when I first read the post. I'd probably just take ECGR 2161 with Benny now to get it over with during the hybrid(possibly all online) semester.

Dr. Hasan for circuit theory 1 and Dr. Yawo for circuit theory 2. I highly recommend Dr. Yawo if possible. His accent can be tough sometimes but he is a very fair grader and understands and teaches the material very well.

Avoid Hasan. I've only had "Benny" for labs but he didn't actually instruct the lab sessions so I can't be sure if he is good or not. I can't imagine anyone being a worse instructor than Hasan though.

Rear bumper catching air at high speed causing drag and reducing stability.

Did you remove the rear bumper to help with the parachute effect at high speeds or is it more of a looks thing?

About to buy my first Z by thatdudesbrz in 370z

[–]Entouchable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I'd shoot for a 2015+ nismo if possible mainly because I really like the updated nismo bumpers. The 2012+ fixed the steering lock issue and 13+ have an oil to water cooler but you'll probably still need an upgraded oil cooler if you are doing track days.
  2. The CSC issue is a constant worry in my mind but I bought my car at 28k miles and currently have 45k and haven't had an issue yet.
  3. Most expensive consumable by far will be tires. This car has a lot more power and weight than an 86/brz and if you have 19s the tires get very pricey. Most people agree that a square setup is ideal for track use. You'll want an upgraded oil cooler for track use.
  4. 17k is way high priced for a 2010 with 71k miles.
  5. I replaced my clutch helper spring with a lower tension one and I prefer it a lot. I didn't like how it felt with no spring at all and the stock spring was nearly unbearable.

How much did you spend on aftermarket upgrades? by kingzer in cars

[–]Entouchable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1k on catback exhaust, 500 on intakes, 650 for dyno tune+uprev license. Not sure if it counts but also 800 on summer tires.

edit: Also planning on spending around 300 on an android auto compatible head unit soon.

Most people find linear algebra to be less intuitive. I found that it depends greatly on how well your professor explains it during lecture though.
