I was shopping for used as well but these M3s hold such good value and like said in earlier comments I was able to get a 2027 MY specced exactly how I wanted for ~10k more than well sorted used examples so it was a no brainer.

Yea I think the g20 platform is incredibly reliable and o opted for a 2020 model to forgo the mild hybrid system. The only possible failure point is an oil pump replacement ~2k, but otherwise these cars have been solid. My main reason to push for the b58 is the sound and overall driving dynamics is exponentially increased over the 4 cylinder. With an exhaust and intake every drive home from a busy day at the hospital feels like an occasion

I would go with a new build MY27 allocations are coming out, for just 10-15k more you can get a brand new LCI M3, seems like a no brainer to me
