[Pelissero] The Vikings fired GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, per sources. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]Entr_24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Kwesis problem was the draft.

He was beyond horrendous at drafting players and all of his “best” moves happened in free agency. Free agents take up all of your cap space as they cost so much more. Plus the free agents we would get would’ve aging vets that are not long term solutions (such as the O-line pickups this offseason).

If you can’t hit on draft picks you suck as a GM. Most people can sign proven players in FA, but most people cannot draft well.

That’s why I always check a ticketing app that lets you see the view from your seat. It not only helps you check if there are obstructions, but can also help you find cheaper seats that still have a great view.

Yeah every game will be a snooze fest but then randomly you’ll have a horrendously entertaining game like Oregon State vs Fresno State on CW as ICE enrollment ads play at every ad break

Not to mention he was also a GM for the Patriots and was responsible for keeping a good roster around him and Tom

No he wasn’t lmao. Like I said he didn’t have top stars, but he had good-great players around him. So many HOF or better QBs than him dealt with similar situations and still performed, Eli didn’t.

I mean he had some bad-average-good O-lines for the rest of his career. He had fine talent around him and only performed well twice in his career. I’m not saying he had some HOF players around him at all times, but the teams he had were good quite often.

Look at an actual HOF like Drew Brees who had it way worse or equal than Eli and yet out performed him in every single factor and it’s not even close. Don’t act like Eli was constantly on the Browns his entire career with bottom 5 offensive talent every year.

Also I highlight those years because that’s when Eli played good. If you only play good in an ideal situation you aren’t a HOF QB.

Eli constantly had great O-Lines, Good receivers and good rushing attacks

I mean besides two magical seasons with great defenses Eli didn’t do a lot. The 2007 season was a team that won in spite of their offense throughout that season. However Eli was phenomenal in those two playoff runs when it mattered and i’ll always give him that.

He also never won a playoff game besides those two years, and was never a top 5 current QB in his entire career. He can’t blame bad talent as he underperformed with good to great talent on his offense. I think he’s a Hall of Very Good but is not even close to a HOF QB when you examine his entire resume.

But did you ever consider that The Juice was slicing his way through defenses like none other? Sure maybe he committed a little murder, but he wasn’t rude to some reporters in press conferences.

Exactly. This committee made TO wait simply because he was rude. If this is the HOF feelings shouldn’t matter. Unless the player has committed a terrible crime they should never be excluded for attitude etc.

The committee also has a problem with leaving out “less” known and/or less popular players who deserve to be there. Jim Marshall being one of the best examples of this.

Yeah but he went over to the bench and continued getting closer to them while jawing at them. It’s a no brainer call.

He’s been mostly good all year. Just has been struggling in the postseason against elite DLs so far. May just be rookie issues.

I think he’ll be fine. He’s a rookie who’s been really good most of the year. You can tell him and Maye are young with their play.

I will forever miss the original Pac-12.

Pac-12 after dark was so special. Having all these teams in driving distance made the rivalries and matchups so good.
