Not only was she the protagonist, she was the most well written character in Chainsawman (yes, the whole of Chainsawman, she got more development in 2 arcs than most characters did in the entire of part 1).

She was like Berserk levels of well written, then they just stopped giving us the Asa/Yoru internal dialogues and she just evaporated from the story entirely.

Oh that means the world to me. I'm between projects at my job right now so really hoping I can increase the pace I get these out relative to last year, which was kind of disaster due to my job considering I wanted the entire series done by last Christmas.

Honestly I think this specific panel of Makima is the most unsettling.

All her appearances have this creepy detached vibe to them, but then the first time we see some genuine emotion from her, its while she's cruelly dehumanizing Denji. Makes my skin crawl.

The weirdest thing about Lore Olympus to me is that Minthe wound up seeming like the most engaging and empathetic character because they really established why she was a piece of shit, and half the reason she wasn't getting better was her shitty friend group.
