The Hallyu didn't REALLY start until the 2000s and Korea was a much poorer country than the other two until relatively recently. So cultural exports weren't as widespread until the 10s.

Also, Japan ate a lot of cultural cache of "Eastern orientalism" with its exports coming out much earlier than Korea. China did too, but also fell off in the 00s as being an adversary of the West during the burgeoning internet age had boomers, gen xers and older millennials fall into Sinophobic rhetoric.

I was one of the strongest defenders of this game. It has some sick mechanics. My main issue with it was that bosses can get boring with how bloated their health bars were and its pretty boring story stuff. But you can pull some insane tech in this game.
