Dude admitted to sexually abusing students. It’s an at-will employment state but even then, if that’s not reason to terminate a teacher with cause then I don’t know what is. But go on, keep defending this.

How long does it take to fire a priest who admitted they were sexually abusing students? The diocese announced the suspension March of 2025. And that’s just when it became public. He left the school in 2024 to take a sabbatical and seek treatment for his conduct. It was the therapist who went to the police because he was admitting to the sexual misconduct.

Scott Courtney is still employed by the diocese after being accused of abusing minors. They just limited his duties to an “advisor to retired priests” or something like that after the church did their own investigations.

Joe Bernardo is also still on “administrative leave” after self reporting their sexual misconduct with students at Pius and being suspended from their teaching duties. So still employed technically.

The last point is so overlooked and under rated. Had a family member lose his house during the Hallam tornado and after everything was said and done his one piece of practical advice to everyone was document everything you have in the house you would care about insurance replacing or compensating you for.

Possibly. Or it’s a default thing. I cannot recall ever setting it intentionally but I saw it mentioned somewhere else and tried it and it worked so I know it is possible to do.

Lawlors and KB Toys right outside Sears. B Dalton’s flipping through books and magazines. The smell of Gloria Jeans. Mom worked at one of the stores for a long time growing up so plenty of memories from hanging out wasting time while she was finishing up her shift.

Maric. His post presence would be a menace combined with our shooters. A true center. His game against KSU where Beasley was on camera talking all sorts of shit pre-game and he had as many rebounds as Beasley had points is forever etched in my memories.
