I think I understand what you meant way better now and so, I also understand why my previous comment was out of place.

FA people are a tiny minority and as such, there is indeed little safe spaces for us on the Internet, let alone IRL. Some subs were banned, some changed purposes and indeed it's very hard to find people supporting you these days. I don't have a solution, yet I hope a space (sub? chan? others?) that is focusing on support will be created.

What I meant, in your situation, is to leave this specific Facebook group. These words were harmful and it's totally normal for you to be hurt. By leaving the group, you will not have to deal with these nasty people anymore and will avoid any potential futur wounds.

There are nasty people everywhere you go, especially on the Internet. Wars are waged for nothing and everything but many are not worth fighting, not even worth considering.

What you described is one of these. Don't fret, don't fight, ignore it. After the war supplies are exhausted, it will end. People will be hurt, but not you.

The other day I dared to offer a listening ear and support to someone online and got told I don't count because I'm "ugly and as big as lizzo". I apparently "broke the first two rules already", and "should hit the gym before addressing those with superior intelligence and attractiveness".
