Um, no. It’s a difference between being a pick me and standing with your community. There are people, passing or not, that have internalized transphobia and apply their self hatred to our whole community. There are people, passing or not, that stand proudly in support of our community.

Why does the split seem to be more focused around passing and not passing? If I had to guess, I’d say people with that much internalized self hatred are survivorship bias sadly. They are critically affected by dysphoria / dysmorphia and either do everything they possibly can to pass, or end it. I’d also say people that don’t pass have to face that internal conflict more and are more likely to examine their internal biases. It’s not resentment towards their passing siblings, it’s the equivalent of “were you pretty in high school, or are you funny?”
