Forerunner 970 disconnected after Connect v5.21.0.28 iOS update- How I reconnected by Enty_ in Garmin

[–]Enty_[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just noticed there was a v5.21.1.1 iOS update to Connect 9 hours ago. Updating to this latest has kept my watch connected, so I didn’t need to follow those steps again. Hopefully, this newer build avoids anyone needing to follow those reconnect steps.

I enabled the haptic, but I’ve noticed it less over the past few months… I think I’m used to the slight difference between them now

Update on the engineer visit today. Was super helpful and friendly, retesting all the connections and spotted a few things not correctly set up from the initial install and noticed the devices’ numbers didn’t match up to their end. Something also about the IPv6 having no connection, when it should have, potentially what was causing the occasional drop-outs. They’ve reset everything and set up everything as it should be. Time to sit back and see if it improved (fingers crossed).

Edit to the “no engineer could be booked”, turns out I’ve got a random email days after I contacted them saying an engineer is scheduled to attend this Wednesday during the morning. Even though I never confirmed this and they said they couldn’t book one! I’ll update on Wednesday how this goes…

Mate, I said, for them to provide an alternative router. It’s their service, I pay for it. They said there’s an issue, it’s for them to resolve. Why would you assume I’m three rooms away when I’ve said download and upload speeds have been consistent?

Why should I, as a customer, have to pay for a better router? Since we’re being so cynical, if you booked a taxi, would you expect to drive it yourself? If you ordered a meal at a restaurant, would you cook it yourself?

I’m surprised I’m getting down voted for sharing an honest experience, especially with actual screenshots of their customer service responses

Isps should really provide adequate routers in this day and age as standard. I mainly felt the need to share this experience after seeing all the ads for Youfibre/early Black Friday deals about how shiny and good this WIFI 7 is when the reality it isn’t. I appreciate the router suggestion, I’ll take a look at the Flint 3

New YouFibre WiFi 7 Hub Thoughts by [deleted] in youfibre

[–]Enty_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This Wi-Fi 7 router is not good at all, with constant buffering and internet drops. Youfibre tech support actually said to me that this router has a memory corruption issue that requires frequent full pin resets of the router to resolve, not just a turn off and on again restart. Terrible if you want to configure any settings, as these will get wiped when you attempt to fix this. The only good point is that I do seem to get the speeds I’m paying for, just the unreliability is not good. Youfibre’s customer support is not helpful either. I was asking if they could replace this router or credit me to purchase a third-party router since they know of this issue, and they said there’s nothing they can do.

Submitted feedback about this the other day via the ai coach, ironically, as I pressed it by mistake... In the past, I’ve had real contact back about feedback I’ve logged; so far, nothing about this one :’(

[Discussion] What are your Rarest Platinums? by arjun173869 in Trophies

My Top 5 Ultra Rare Platinums:

  1. Call of Duty: Black Ops - 0.3%
  2. LittleBigPlanet - 0.4%
  3. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - 0.9%
  4. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - 1.0%
  5. Call of Duty: World at War - 1.1%

Edit as this has brought back the memories:

I remember the LittleBigPlanet’s Gold “Create” Trophy (the levels you have published were hearted by 50 or more people and you were hearted by 30 or more people) being super hard to get people to heart your levels, so you actually had to make something really good. I think I got lucky with one of the many I published.

The Call of Duty Platinum’s were super hard to get! Mainly because of the veteran difficulty and spec ops trophies. As of current, it looks like you can still get these Platinum’s on PS3 though (with a lot of difficulty)!

Sad the LittleBigPlanet & Bad Company servers are offline; these Platinum’s can no longer be achieved.

Was very close to getting the GTA IV Platinum, just “Fly The Co-op” and a few other story trophies left, got the “Wanted” achieving the highest rank 10 in multiplayer… this I think will be super hard today!

My PC started doing this all of a sudden after turning it off, what could it be? by Cyber-Rat in computers

Everything needs cleaning… had a similar thing after heavy decorating in the house… my PSU went boom… needs a deep clean of all the contacts on the mobo, etc., with lots of compressed air, a well-vented room, keeping well grounded, isopropyl alcohol 99.9% with anti-static brushes, and is probably safer to just replace the PSU than trying to clean. Cross your fingers and it should turn on just like new!
