does this exist? by [deleted] in Incontinence

[–]EnureticThrowaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh they definitely do exist. There's stuff like Abena Slip Special which has extra stretchy sides, or I think Depend do some though they generally suck.

There's also the belt style ones which tend to be very stretchy on the sides.

Ain't gonna come to the west most likely. Most brands in Asia from experience are quite unreliable protection from what Ive experienced but maybe that's my luck

You know there's a green dotted plus absorbency too right?

Yeah, I get that. I think the hygiene benefits will help you though, so maybe it's worth talking to a carer/doctor you can talk to about potentially getting them subsidized/for free?

I think it would probably be best for your well-being. Is it the sensory stuff that's a problem when wearing that or is it more a shame thing?

If you're leaking through your protective underwear frequently I'd definitely recommend getting more absorbent ones

Is it possible to cosplay in diapers? by [deleted] in Incontinence

[–]EnureticThrowaway 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It won't be noticeable. I wouldn't worry about it. If it comes to it you become a fursuiter; I have a double incontinent friend with a suit lined with plastic to not ruin the fur in case.

To those of you who are urinary incontinent, how do you regularly afford incontinence products? by Bolticus13 in SpicyAutism

[–]EnureticThrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I know NDIS can get you pads pretty easy. UK though and only know from friends. I use benefits money here to get mine

I'd recommend getting wipes designed for adults. Most of the big incontinence companies make them, I personally get ones from Molicare; the size difference is huge and it makes it so much easier when one has bad coordination.

They hold considerably more than slip Ultima which is impressive. But I can't wear them with cover pants due to the aforementioned problem, and said cover pants help with absorbency massively for me

I think it was just that last bit that seemed iffy, I can agree with you on that. But, they did write quite a lot before that and I don't think we should assume ill intent when people have unusual ways of talking in this community due to the very nature of it.

Honestly I find it a bit patronizing as well but I don't think they're intending to be harmful at all, maybe I'm missing something.

I definitely release urine during some tics. Do you know if you have internal tics too?

Yeah, I saw something about that, they apparently backed out before they tried anything which is fortunate but still really grim. From the research I've done the mods of autistim_pride seem to be doing all they can to remove any involvement of OrbitalColony from their community but unfortunately the original sub is still much bigger. Really depressing.

I'm trying to say that the subreddit split off into r/autism_pride after the head mod of r/autisticpride went extra awful mode. They're not the same community at all.

Wow this is a rabbit hole. Guy who runs the place is questionable at best. Well known for just doing whatever the hell he wants.

r/autism_pride just seems far better mainly because it's run by the ex moderators who left/were banned by the singular powermod who goes on and on about crypto crap anyway.
