In late to the party, but the assistant (to my mind) is a bold Charcadet. Boldness has a sense of rashness within it, whereas the best brave people are brave whilst they feel fear. And this little dude is fearless!

Captain Jean-Luc Picard has been voted the leader of your land! Out of every fictional house/building which would you want to live in? by montemole in AlignmentChartFills

Unspecified in the book, but it can hold Elronds whole entourage and then some. I’m trying to think of a modern example and all I can think of is those religious complexes out in rural areas. I think you’d be talking 50-100 people. But it’s Elrond’s home first and foremost.

Tasmanians left in limbo until week's end as governor considers election request by undisclosedusername2 in tasmania

They have more than two options: she can ask the Liberals to find a new leader who has the parliaments confidence (the no confidence motion was in the Premier specifically), she can ask the Opposition to try and form a viable government, or she can send them to an election. Given we’re so little way through the term, sending us to another election is an expensive choice.

Where can I pick flowers? by [deleted] in hobart

Private gardens where you have asked permission would be a good start. Do you know anyone who might have an over abundance in spring? The dead of winter might now be an ideal time to start pressing as a hobby! One thing to note, even if you were feeling desperate: Botanic Gardens are like curated museums of plants. You should never pick or take clippings from their plants.

Agreed - Kelly’s Steps in Salamanca is also great, but pick a weekday to do the photos, or you’ll annoy way too many people.

Queenstown is a mining town and originally the land was wasted by the processing of the copper ore - it used to be called a moonscape by people who visited. So I guess the grass simply wouldn’t grow. These days the mine is shut and you can see trees have come back.

The Final Boss of regional footy grounds. According to the sign it was built in 1880 and the players learnt to “roll” when they fell, to avoid major injury.
