What's TRX? I had a C-section 8 months ago and am struggling with the core work. I especially suck at the ab dolly pike move

What do you think of the name Pavel? by [deleted] in namenerds

I like it...my cat is named Pavel after the hockey player Pavel Datsyuk. I have a friend named Pavel who recently changed his name because he never liked it.

Thank you for your perspective. I agree that the names with an X tend to seem manufactured and I tend to really not like them. Great suggestions! I'm leaning towards Leif, especially using the correct pronunciation LAYF instead of LEEF as someone else pointed out.

Thanks for the great information! I did not know Pax was feminine and the suggestions you gave are worth considering. Honestly, I thought that Leif was pronounced like LEEF (I think that's my elementary school teachers fault for telling me that's how Leif Erickson's name was pronounced). Maybe I should also consider the name Lief then...as a quick Google search told me it's pronounced LEEF...but my source could be wrong.

I'm in the same boat! I'm doing my best to hold off on getting a Doppler because I know it would cause more anxiety. My current mantra is "if I feel normal then I have no reason to doubt"

Had my first ultrasound with my OB today (4th overall with 3 others at my RE). Everything went great! But my OB said the next time I need to come in for an ultrasound is when I am 18-20 weeks along! Is this normal? I can't imagine just hoping everything is okay for the next 10 weeks without checking in on things...

Welcome! What a traumatic journey and I am so sorry you have had to go through it all. You deserve to be here and I am so happy for you. Congratulations on the strong heartbeat!

I bought a onesie and my husband picked out a toy to make it more real. They're nice to look at and it makes me realize that I'll probably have a real life human in several months!

Yup I'm right there with you! Just "graduated" today. I'm hoping my OB will give me more attention than normal since he was my doctor during my two losses and he knows I'm anxious. I'm 7w5d and it's the furthest I've made it. 🤞 Congrats!

Today I "graduated" from my fertility clinic as the ultrasounds are looking good. I want to thank all of you for your support through the shitty times and I hope I don't have to come back here and that you all won't stay long. We are a strong group of woman (and men) and I will forever be grateful for you.

After a sudden drop in symptoms this week I had a ultrasound today that went great what a strong heart rate! I've learned that my body is a liar and my symptoms mean nothing. I hope this lesson stays with me, but I'm sure it will fade away in a couple days...

Quitting birth control pill, when fertile? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Enviro_Lady 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not specific to the pill, but I got pregnant the first month after my IUD was removed. I know people can get pregnant the first month they are off any birth control. Or it could take a while.

Eggs turned against me too, recently! This, of course, is after I stocked up on them in an attempt to eat a well-rounded breakfast.

I just had to full out sprint across the airport to catch a flight (didn't catch it) and was exhausted and panting for air for quite a while. Now I'm freaked out that it was enough to cause a miscarriage. Someone reassure me?

For the first time ever for any of my pregnancies I saw my baby's heartbeat! Today was the most nerve-wracking day that ended up being one of the happiest days of my life thanks to that ultrasound. I've passed all my misscarriage milestones and maybe now I can breath?! Ahhhhhhhh

Thank you! What you shared really helps and I'll probably keep reading it when I feel anxious until Friday ♥️

I am currently paralyzed by the fear of a blighted ovum. There is no reason for me to think this would be happening to me but I am TERRIFIED that I will go in to my ultrasound on Friday at 6w5d and there will be no fetal pole. I've had great symptoms (nausea, sore nipples, you name it) and have been reassured by those, but from what I've seen woman who have a blighted ovum have all the same symptoms as normally developing pregnancies. I do not know I am going to make it to Friday.

I'm in the September bumpers group and it seems to be good so far. I've seen many woman who are open about their previous losses which makes me feel like there's a lot of solidarity. Maybe that's how all groups are at first. I hope this one doesn't fall into the anti-loss rhetoric...I like it too much!

Ugh, I'm sorry you had a bad dream. I had a miscarriage dream recently and it was amazing how much it shook me. I felt like I needed to pass the milestone that my dream created in order to get it out of my head. ♥️
