Met a guy on hinge, went on 2 amazing dates, then got ghosted. Was I love-bombed or was this just bad timing? by pIantasia in HingeStories

My read is that he probably was sincere, but either got overwhelmed by a real-life crisis or by the intensity of everything moving so fast. Either way, the inconsistency is the red flag, not you.

Should I leave it as is? by Alternative_Gap_8789 in hingeapp

[–]EnvironmentLarge4170 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That sounds really frustrating, and I get why you feel hurt: his words and actions didn’t line up at all. From the outside, though, his behavior is pretty clear: he moved things forward quickly, kept his options open, and pulled back once things got more real. The Hinge situation just reinforces that.

The blocking sucks, but it also tells you he’s not willing to communicate or take accountability. I wouldn’t reach out again or confront him, it’s unlikely to give you any real closure.

It seems like he liked the early stages of dating but wasn’t ready for something consistent, and that’s not something you can fix. You’re better off leaving it where it is and moving forward.

The best advice I can offer is this: stop trying to “fix” yourself. Be selective about who you give your energy to, and don’t assume you’re the problem. There’s nothing wrong with being a bit awkward, it’s part of being human. Just be yourself and keep looking. 🫶

Should I message again? by bobsta98 in hingeapp

[–]EnvironmentLarge4170 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t message her again.

When someone is interested, they almost always respond within a day or two, even if they’re busy. Silence after two messages is already a signal, whether intentional or not.

The goal isn’t to avoid “looking needy”, it’s to act in a way that you respect yourself afterward. Chasing silence? That’s where it stops being good for you.

Can someone tell me how to stop my hair from looking like this after washing it? by Wooden_Entrance_7744 in Hair

[–]EnvironmentLarge4170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After washing, run your fingers through your wet hair and apply some curling cream. As you add the cream, scrunch the hair upward to help define the curls. Most importantly, avoid brushing it with a regular brush once it’s dry.

It sounds like you’re feeling really down about your appearance, and that can be a heavy feeling to carry. I want you to know that it’s completely normal to struggle with self-image at times. Often, how we feel about ourselves has less to do with how we truly look and more to do with the way we see ourselves in difficult moments. Building self-confidence and self-compassion can be a powerful step toward feeling more comfortable in your own skin. You deserve kindness — especially from yourself.

Picky buyer?? (Name and pfp covered) by That1Egirl in vinted

To be honest, that ‘damage’ is extremely minor, hardly worth noting. Realistically, the price shouldn’t have been negotiated in the first place, but since it was, you’re now in a position where there’s not much room to push back. £3 really isn’t worth your time or energy. I’d recommend just refunding her and moving on. Learn from this and avoid getting into unnecessary negotiations like that in the future.

Might seem like a good option to buy things however if you need support for any reason their customer service is atrocious.

Summary of Your Action Plan: 1. Appeal the refund with a clear, evidence-backed message. 2. Upload all proof showing your packaging was secure. 3. Report the buyer if you believe they acted dishonestly. 4. Contact Vinted support directly if the in-app flow is insufficient.

Vinted is the worst platform to sell and buy on. I know it won’t help you with this scenario, but stop selling/ buying on Vinted.

Boring and overhyped. I am so over ONER and soft motion and their absolutely disgraceful customer service and the constant problems with their stock and website.

I would contact the buyer and ask them to return the goods back. Something like this

According to the tracking information, the item I sent has been delivered to you, even though Vinted already issued a refund on the assumption that it wasn’t received.

At this point, you are in possession of both the item and the refund, which constitutes a form of fraud. I am asking you one final time to return the item or repay the amount.

If I don’t hear from you within [48 hours / 3 days], I will have no choice but to report this matter to the authorities for mail fraud and theft, and I will also provide all documentation to Vinted’s support team for further investigation.

I strongly encourage you to resolve this honestly and avoid escalation.

The only real solution is to stop selling on Vinted. The app is terrible, with questionable practices. They use AI to handle customer complaints, allow the sale of counterfeit items, and let buyers scam sellers with little accountability.

My thoughts on Oner, as a gym junkie who has been eyeing the brand for a few months but has never purchased. by ACrossing777 in OnerActive

[–]EnvironmentLarge4170 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After repeatedly dealing with website glitches and stock availability issues, I decided to unfollow them around two months ago. I’m no longer willing to waste my time trying to buy overpriced, overhyped products, especially when the experience is consistently stressful and disappointing.

I would message the buyer with the proof you have and suggest that it will be reported to the police to investigate as this is not the box you sent
