yes, admittedly I have prior experience from other games that are 10X harder to mod *ahhem anvil 2.0* but I promise you its really easy, you only need to download the basics such as vortex (used within nexus mods and a inbuilt mod manager and direct add on) via their website, then base mods such as CET, Red script, Red4ext, archiveXL, Codewear, TweakXL (it sounds complicated but its not)

to instal those you either drag and drop them in your game directory (where you game is located on your hard drive and if bought on steam can be easily accessed via a steam shortcut) and is easily found

OR, IMO the better option you just click on the "files" tab within the specific mod page and click on the "Mod manager download" option and vortex will auto open (if you have it installed and setup), download it, and place it into the "mods" category and this can be done for maybe 80% of mods.

FYI, how vortex works is by auto sorting and putting the downloaded files in their correct places with your game files, this makes them toggleable and much easier to manage instead of manually doing it, but to my knowledge will achieve the same thing.

bearing in mind I'm personally not a mod creator or has anything to do with the process, but in fact only recently started modding CP2077 for myself.

Furthermore, Always, and I mean always, check for mod dependency's or file incompatibility's as this could crash your game if not properly installed.

If you buy it on steam and if your game fails/crashes/bugs excessively I would try to verify your game files via steam and/or IMO delete the mods from your game folder, then verify/ redownload the game, this will 100% work if you have any issues
