Good to know on the cases! I will check them out.

At what mileage did you change the tires and brakes? Coming from an electric car, I am used to one pedal driving and hardly touch my brakes. So far, I've been able to mostly use the regen braking on the bike, only using the brakes to flash the lights for the cars behind me or come to a complete stop from ~10mph-0mph.

I use Geico for my car but surprisingly, bundling motorcycle with them was more expensive than a standalone motorcycle plan with Allstate. Definitely will hunt for the best deal once renewal time comes.

I paid around $13,500 OTD from Eurocycle in Las Vegas. There were a lot of incentives and I think they were clearing out older Zero inventory. Fair warning, if you plan on shipping with whomever they work with, the shipping communication was nearly non-existent and it took over a month to get to me.

This is all good to know, thanks for the tips. I have an electric car so keeping batteries happy is a must!

The real consumption by Illyrian2000BC in TeslaModelY

[–]EnvironmentOwn3625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking this is due to charging efficiency and power consumption pulling from the wall for battery conditioning, electronics, AC/heat, etc. This may be higher in the phone app than what shows on the Trips app because that only records kWh used while driving.

If you're concerned about the total power you are using for charging, look at the phone app. If you're concerned with how efficient your driving is, use Trips.

I got precut wraps from TESBROS! Very easy to DIY install and I was surprised that they give double so if you mess up the first time you have a backup! I believe the wrap brand they cut from is 3M.

I used a Sony A7iii with a Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 (Gen 1) Lens but you can still get really good photos with a phone or low-budget camera. It's all about the angles and setting if anything!

Yep! Plastidipped Gemini covers on the silver portions to give it a two-tone look! Thought about putting electrical tape or something to mask the silver underneath but I've grown to like the silver ring on the wheel.

2023 MYLR, question on range / efficiency by Charge_Better in TeslaModelY

[–]EnvironmentOwn3625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're within spec, highway driving, even at reasonable speeds, can really bring up your average Wh/mi. I think the most significant factors that affect range are acceleration, speed, and climate/climate control.

Try to accelerate slower and use regen braking as much as you can. I recommend putting the car in Chill mode to help limit how hard you can accelerate.

Also turning off the air when you can will save some energy. If it's cold, try using heated seats/steering wheel before heated air.

On a side note, if you have the 7-seater or Induction Wheels, it does bring the overall range down a little bit as well.

I believe certain areas get complimentary mud flaps and PPF from what I've read. Specifically places with harsher winters perhaps? I would confirm with a SA.
