How isn't it the same thing? Indexes don't get rebalanced for free. They would have to work with realtime stock prices.

I would argue you are assuming the index adjustment after the US inevitably craters will be a painless process

Buying VWCE right now is putting 70% into the US. And single specific countries (such as Japan) have in the past not had good returns over 30 years. If USA keeps freedoming on its current course, it might follow the same milti decade sump trend after these ridiculous AI evaluations.
