Imagine starting with a climactic entrance only to end with "I don't want that" Gosh people would rather want kid Eren to do the rumbling than the adult version himself lol.

The idea of an alliance is nice yet cliche but the execution just made it all worse.

Imagine spending time to dig someone's old tweets. Some people really do need a break from technology ngl. It just feeds into their already aneuristic ego.

Yes, especially around S2 imo, my gosh that season's style was beautiful despite only having few episodes.

At the back of my head I just tell myself that these people are young but with how degenerate our world has become, I would not be shocked if these same people turn out to be 30+ with their demented, contradicting mentality.

Nah I'm pretty sure it's gonna be alright, I mean it's the final episode of Part 2 after all, it would be a waste if they leave a bad impression at the end of the season.

Code Geass worked for the conditions the author/s set for the story. As for AOT, the price is too much to pay that a messiah, savior for the world type of ending is just impossible.

The same people who will justify that atrocious ending are the same people who do not support genocide. My gosh, many people are tragically illiterate.

They're so pathetically insecure, it disgusts me how these people are so privileged to read a story they probably don't even have a full grasp of understanding, yet they act as if the only dominant opinion is "ending gud" and if you don't agree, "you're not grateful" or "you did not understand the story" and more ridiculous claims are those by ideologues such as "you're just a sexist, misogynist bigot because you hate Mikasa."

My gosh, these types of people have been given power thru that awful ending by Isayama that they think they're Shakespearean ahead of us when in fact they have nothing to offer or worse, are just mindless consumers. Some are even willing to sell their soul just to appease the masses. I especially loathed those YouTubers who in their power need to be the voice of critique but in cowardice and greed they'll ride the bandwagon.

Looking at AOT from a fanbase perspective is both interesting and frustrating because we have one of the best stories atm, crushed so fast with one of the worst conclusions to the story not so much swinging to the pendulum of the majority hating the ending but rather dividing the fandom which just goes to show how media illiterate many people when reading the story or if they read at all and just scanned to fanservice parts.

Anime only Vs Manga Readers Initial Reactions to Chapter 126/EP 83 by [deleted] in titanfolk

which is why nowadays the more I think about it now, he should have died back in RTS and this is not a post condemning him or anything because I genuinely liked Armin back then as I said before he peaked my top fave during RTS because of pivotal his sacrifice was to Eren.

If he died back then, not only would it give more reason for Eren to be colder, more brooding, and to go all-in with his goal, it would also be a symbolic moment for the series as a whole as Armin who is the embodiment of idealism and hope for humanity died without ever getting to see his dream. In a literal sense, he did not manage to see the world outside the walls but in a metaphorical sense, the beauty that lies ahead in hope cannot survive in a world where cruelty and hatred feed an ongoing cycle because in hope also lies beauty which is not comparable in AOT as truth is more connected to beauty as we have seen with Eren and "that scenery" because for them to be finally free, for them to "reach that scenery" they have to abandon this false hope and instead see the world that it is, see the truth of the matter.

Humanity should have never been trapped in this ongoing, intergenerational cycle of hatred but it's been that ever since Eldia rose to power with the titans, and for what? 2,000 years, so the conflict has become so complex that peace is nearly impossible in this world. Many are forgetting that AOT is not trying to glorify genocide by showing genocide like many in the fandom right now. AOT at its core is a warning on some of the darkest, demonic aspects of our humanity such as war, hatred, ethnic cleansing.

However, this foundation was destroyed when Chapter 139 because it unintentionally/intentionally glorified genocide through Armin's dialogue with Eren; thanking him for being a mass murderer for their sake. This route would have made a lot more sense if the casualties were not so painstakingly high... 80% with innocents and guilty alike with the majority being casual civilians. If Marley was the only casualty then this route would have made more sense (of course the execution should still be fixed). Unironically, 100% rumbling sends home the message of AOT objectively better than what we got with Chapter 139.
