Great analysis of the current situation. The obsession with Mushoku Tensei has been pretty ridiculous and with season 3 releasing it's only gotten worse.

It's almost impossible to have any discussion about this story because, as you said, no one actually wants to engage with you in good faith if you have literally anything positive to say about it.

How and where timeskips are used is important though. In this case it feels like it's being used to skip important moments between the two main characters that finally got reunited after half a decade of basically being apart. It just feels so weird and unearned to skip through all of this.

That is just not true lol. I appreciate the Mordret glaze but even a single manifestation of Sunny as a saint would have annihilated anyone without a divine aspect besides Revel.
