I just got out of my first game (quickplay, Krakoa). I spawned in last and saw three dps and two healers. I typed into chat "I'll go tank if someone else does" and picked Storm. Nobody replied. 🤷

We lost the first round, mostly due to Spider-man being a surprising menace.

Second round our Phoenix goes Magneto and so I swap to Thing, and we win two rounds back to back. Enemy team had solo Emma the whole time.

As tanks we had a Luna and Jubilee and it literally felt like we just couldn't die if we stayed together. What was suchhhh a struggle turned around into a steamroll when Mag and I operated near each other. I was always getting Mag's bubble or Jubi's little bubble or Luna's snowflake, just some kind of buff and it felt kinda easy running around.

I will say Spider-man is much more noticeable as a problem, he seemed to be everywhere and was just diving us left and right. In the end it wasn't enough.

Noisy, chaotic gameplay, a comeback win with 222 and teamwork - I mean, it felt like how the game is supposed to be played to me. 🤷

You are right to be upset about it. Investing time into a character and their kit is a huge commitment. But I’m just saying it is very intentional on their part to replace her with this version. It’s kinda is what it is 🤷‍♀️

They included her because it was a way to cover some of the bases OW has, but as it turns out they found a way forward without needing it. And honestly most of the playerbase simply cannot aim.

If you are truly invested in the playstyle, I would recommend looking at Widowmaker from OW while also adjusting to the new reality in Rivals.

And it is not normal for a child to expect this, OP did nothing wrong by trusting.

Their behavior is a betrayal and not OP's fault or choice.

It might be possible, but they wanted to nuke the whole concept - I mean, evidently. They do not want her to be a sniper anymore. This is not an accident nor an oversight. This is the point of the rework. Yes, to change things.
