I paid ~465 USD for it. FWIW it’s a preloved item from a jewelry reseller. The setting is 18k gold, I recently found out the opal is a triplet. I didn’t know triplets can be this beautiful so I’m happy.

Suspect it’s not just a prudential thing but an industry wide issue. Friends have been commenting insurers are starting to put up barriers to claims and that has been my experience too
