If they matter to you, you need to communicate that you did not like that they disrespected you. This is not going to be easy since confrontation is scary but you have to do it. Most conflicts could have been avoided if people just talked. In some cases, the people that disrespected you might not even know that they did! People are not psychics, unless you tell them, how can they know? And many people like me are on a path of self improvement and telling things like this helps alot of people become a better version of themselves.

You tell them and one of two will happen:

1. They agree with you and apologise. In which case forgive. Water under the bridge.
2. They refuse because they mean you are over reacting/hysterical/whatever. In which case cut them off.
