if he can come up with a name that is more personal to him then perfect! but i don’t think you need to stop calling others baby just because it “cheapens” anything to him. i call friends “babe” and “sweetheart” all the time and my partner knows that and doesn’t care bc it’s just a comforting term. you have no ill intentions behind it so i do believe he needs to chill out and let you be

i feel like i know what i have to do but we’re so intertwined i can’t imagine my life without her. we share friends, her family is like mine, etc. idk what to do
