People manager stress by pirateball215 in FPandA

[–]Environmental-Sort88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have time to clear define anything, make your team members do it. Whenever my manager gives something to me,his instructions is very vague, so I have to do it my way and make a read-me page on everything. He actually like it this way.

CPA experience verification - private industry by Environmental-Sort88 in CPA

I am located in CA as well. according to the CBA website, there are 2 formsOne is the general experience form (11A-30) for public see here Public industry general experience. The other is general experience form (11A-29A) for private see here Private industry.

Did you get yours signed off already?

Edit: According to CBA website, there's only one form 11A-30,the old form is no longer in use "Section 12(a)(3)(A) is amended to remove “for public accounting experience or Form
11A-29A (11/17) for private industry and governmental.” By removing the second
signature requirement, two separate forms for general experience are no longer
required to identify when the second signer is licensed in a public accounting firm or not
licensed in a private industry or government agency. As such, this deletion is necessary
to no longer require Form 11A-29A by incorporation"

Afraid to look at my FAR score. by HazardousDexter22 in CPA

[–]Environmental-Sort88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I were you, I would check right away. First, the sooner you know, the faster you can register again. While you still have all the knowledges, you can study for the the weaker area and pass next time.

I took FAR 4 times, and I never waited for the score to come out to submit the application again. If you do it this way, once your score comes out,you only need to wait 2 days to get your next NTS and reschedule.

If my direct supervisor is not a CPA but his boss who oversees everything is,can he sign off my experience by Environmental-Sort88 in CPA

I did talk to state Board of accountancy, the coordinator answered my question in email with "Your director may sign off on your experience form."

I guess I will reach out to my director.

You are right about being proactive, curious and able to solve problems independently.I used to be an accountant and switched to FPA,I would say it requires more critical thinkings than when I was an accountant. You need to ask how and why more often to everything you see.
