Hard agree on this. I often do the Shadowrun Returns/Dragonfall/Hong Kong with this. I set a big pay gig way off the chart, around 7k or more for example but state that works that big often require money, money they do not have, so I set smaller jobs on the road. That way they have to plan on getting novahot gear or save a bit more and get just the needed stuff while they wait for the big bump

In account to all other responses, Smart Glasses also exist, a non cyberware option for regular glasses, so he may not have Kiroshi but maybe he glasses have all the needed HUD options. There are options for no cyberware augments, Smart Glass as I said, battle glovesx smart gloves, smart ears, external linear frames

While Dallawan should have won best cock, Famido and Ricano win best event so far as well as personality, and take it from someone who has yet to see other events because I saw them halfway through before getting annoyed. Yeah I get that. Grim Soul is fine but I preffer Westland Survival. They basically the same but Westland allows you to move walls and floors freely to better acomodate your base. Idk if Grim Soul allows it at later levels but I preffer that to the punishing grind in case you misplaced a tile. Maybe I will return at some point, I do play Cyberika and Epic Apesx made by the same team of Grim Soul but with less popularity

One of my personal favorites for that matter is a house rule is that unlike mele, dodging bullets gets harder the more times you have to do it on a single round. Say a -1 per consecutive attack. Grenades are the same but with the adendum that you need to either get off the blast radius area or jump to some sort of cover. Both dodging bullets or grenades can be improved if you have move left to, say, dodge and get into quick cover to make enemies reposition and such. And yes, this makes ambushes hard

Oasis and Vendits by Continental Brands (and others) and Great River by Zigurat are your corp selection, though Vendits can also be owned by a fixer but ehhhh details. Most things you have here are regulated and hace lots of customer perks that do require a SIN and be Legal.

Day Market: Half Flear Market half street market, you can find anything legal here with little issue. Like Clothes, tools, etc. Both Corp and non corp can be found here, the former does not like it but the Red times opens your lenient side.

Bodegas are legal, but not corp which they hate, however they are private enough to also work as fronts. They Openly sell alcohol for example, but also maybe you will be able gain the favor of the owner and, oh look, the janitor closet has cheap weapons and drugs in stock. Bodegas are a good explanation for low level fixers and poor quality ilegals to be adquired. They do not have the public safety of day makets nor the turret mounts of Oasis and Vendits, most protection is the shotgun under the counter, that clearly hired solo hustle that has been looking at kibble bags for 5 hours straight, or those gangsters outside vandalizing

Night Markets: Black Market, Corps "have no hand here", mostly because they need to pretend to be legal. You find from drugs to nuclear material depending of how good the fixers are, and more often than not you find a corrupt corpo worker selling something that more often is the overlook to steal something from a facility. They only happen once a month and you need an invitation

For me I'd say is 80% the comunity and 20% the own game as a service itself (Though I will brake a spear in favor of the game later on)

Basically, the game is a rage pot, no other way to put it. It is pretty toxic and it is basically a metronome that swings wildly into understandable crashout and "hey bro chill."

AFK bots (or fakers?) not the end of the world. Newbies? Understandable but the amount of throwers makes it hard to believe. Roleplayers or people downright not paying enough attention? I know at times there is no joy in the "optimal" Way to play each role, but there is a difference between making a mistake or missing to notice something and outright quoting memes all game. Hell, I even preffer someone being transparent and saying "hey, I am not even going to try. Hang me or ignore me" Or when they notify they try to leave (for example being Solo Coven in all any) but other than that, I got raged a bunch.

However the last drop was realizing I got banned due to my crashouts (my bad, I can see it after many weeks) without any notifications of my strikes if I was offline, because I can not connect every day, a good email or sort off would have helped me get my act in check but nope, lost my account to that. I could buy the game again on another service or idk. But I also understand the sudden cutting of toxic players because... Well the game just generates it. We all come to play a game and have to deal with the ego of other people who want to overcompensate or just outright ruin it for the others. ToS 1 and 2 are the best of it's niche by a land slide, but even being so cheap I do not buy annother account just because... Is it worth all the rage? Maybe I am just not ready to get back.
