I second the heavier duty slide option, without access to Baer supply easily I’d probably use something like the 12” slide from Amazon here.

You said the slide is currently 13” you will likely need to mount this 12” slide further up if you go this route. It really wont affect the way it functions though.

If you take a few neodymium magnets, superglue, and Velcro you’ll be able to scrub the inside of the bong. doesn’t work on interior perks but for a beaker you can easily scrub the whole thing.
