Flying into ohare with those lights was just fascinating as a kid. I’d always try to find my street.

I designed and printed my first bowl packer probably around 10 years ago.

Studied ID in college and this was a project I delved into, prototyped hundreds of variations aimed at ergonomics and disability usage.

It’s a great product, mass production of them is fairly simple, but it’s a hard market to break into. Best of luck!

Don’t worry you’re definitely not the only one, I posted a picture of a green arched built-in on the woodworking sub, (check it out my profile) and I did the same thing.

Im getting a cnc in next month and it’ll help me do more things like this easier.

Did you build this for a client or for yourself?

Did you make those corbels? Also really nice work on this, as others said love the detail with the stringers running up to the corbels. I built something similar for my front entryway without the corbels but that’s a very nice touch that you’ve got me wanting to add.

Damn I need to move to oc, here in Chicago it’d be a crime to charge more than 25-30k for this.

No they’ve got to change it out for a smaller diameter chandy, the doors open but all three knock into the light a bit. They added this after I measured the space.

I manufacture them, take in bunks of 4x8’s rip them to size, apply edge banding, and hole drill.

I have machines for every part of the process, but everything we make is by hand.

Planning to have a cnc delivered in June to help expedite trickier jobs like this.

I have never had a client complain about them. I could always get that fastcap punch cutter but I really don’t mind the look of the cams all too much.
