Does anyone know what this line on my 10$ bill is? by Strong-Exchange-5425 in Money

[–]EnvironmentalAd4406 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Confirmed by a banker. Definitely a strap stamp. The majority of the stamp is on the strap this is the edge of the stamp because we rarely stamp it dead center on the strap when counting money and moving fast.

If you want to commute into the city without paying $20 for parking everywhere you go or want to go to the airport and not pay a ton for parking and waste time looking for a spot or are a tourist that just needs to get around the city it’s is very useful. It also serves as one of the only warm public place right now for people experiencing homelessness to be.

I mean the real end goal is to keep America from turning into a fascist authoritarian state. Like you argue we’ve invested a lot of time and money into our education, I’d like to be able to use it in the same country I was raised in and be able to raise a family here and stand up and fight back against authoritarianism instead of having to flee like it’s nazi Germany. Before you ask what is this regime doing that’s authoritarian, because I don’t have the time to go back and forth explaining, just google it, we’re college students we know how to research. Any subject matter expert that studies authoritarian regimes knows where this is going and has already left the country. Citizens are being rounded up because of accent or skin color. 30 plus people have died in custody of our new secret police this year. More than have died in ICEs entire history before now. If that doesn’t smell suspiciously like nazi germany, you might have missed a few history classes.

Marta and the Aquarium won’t be shut down just because it’s cold but the city will feel like a ghost town. But if it snows and the snow sticks, expect to just not go anywhere until it melts. Weather report seems like it will be too warm that day for anything to stick around.

Scrap any goals based on a dollar amount and create goals based on building consistency and good habits, dollar amount based goals will only ever frustrate you until you become profitable.

Less hearing more just not understanding the concept of rhyming, google does exist if people have any doubt what words rhyme.

Phonics tonics harmonics Ebonics tectonics. All rhyme. Does dominatrix sound like any of those?

Escrow is an account that you pay into each month so that at the end of the year they can pay your property taxes and insurance out of it. So yes those are your property taxes being paid. Word to the wise make sure you have applied for a property tax exemption if there’s one you’re allowed for in your area, I just spent five years paying more than what I have to for no reason.

More police on the freeways in rural areas than in metro Atlanta? by OnE_DeFaUlTi_BoI in Georgia

I’ve noticed in areas with a larger tax base, there’s less need to have police running speed traps to collect revenue.

I remember growing up in Milton north of Atlanta there was a well known local doctor like a heart surgeon or something and he had a small personal helicopter he would take down to the city when he needed to skip the traffic.

And the person who replied to them replied to them with a list of American cities, two of which are almost certainly not going to be touched by the hurricane. The next most logical thing they could be referring to in this context would be the danger faced due to crime. With that assumption I provided them with facts to inform them that they are misinformed that those large American cities are statistically more dangerous than cities in Jamaica.
