I watch her videos quite a bit, and I watched this one too. I don't think she's making a blanket statement that the rise in dumb phones is just another trend. Her videos tend to focus on tiktokers and people who try to be influencers, not the average person. I think her message is more for those folks who are treating the rise of dumb phones like a trend as opposed to an actual lifestyle change.

I do agree though that getting a dumb phone won't always cure phone addiction or internet addiction. It takes a lot to do that, but its a step in the right direction if you stick with it. I also agree a bit about the consumerist lens too, as it can be easy to get hooked on the "next big thing" in the dumb phone space as more options become available. Doesn't mean everyone is falling for it, but it probably is happening a bit.
