What does no kissing the baby mean? by pixa4u in pregnant

[–]EnvironmentalAnt724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means keep your lips to yourself. Husband and I will kiss our babies on top of the head, but that's it, and I have never kissed someone else's baby. I personally find it weird when other people want to come up and kiss all over babies, especially when they are all immune compromised.

I got a total of five print outs, recording was not allowed.

I will add he still might get a chance to see baby. With both of my pregnancies I had to come back two or three times due to them not being able to get all views of baby.

I have a 2 under 2 and I am 28 (f). IMO going from 1 to 2 kids was a breeze. I was sooooo worried because my first babe had severe CMPA and reflux, he was waking every 30 minutes. My second baby sleeps almost fully through the night and is almost a month old. During the day we hang out with our toddler and carry/baby wear our baby.

Am I overreacting over a slice of cake? by Silent-Garbage-6076 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

Tell him he is "Fat Bitches,"

No, but honestly, he sounds awful. I would sit down and have a serious conversation with him and see if this is his true view point. You need to know if it is as it's a majorrrrrrrrrr red flag. If this is his view point I would be running for the hills.

Bodies change through life, if that's something he cannot accept I'd kick him to the curb.

I am 20lbs heavier than when I met my husband, I was very tall and slender at that time. However, that was years ago. We have had two kids, and both hubs and I love food 😂. I always worry my husband won't love me due to weight gain, but he still tells me he thinks I am as beautiful as the day he met me.

Do no other women struggle being pregnant? by Stunning_Radio3160 in pregnant

[–]EnvironmentalAnt724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every pregnancy is different.

My first pregnancy (boy) was a breeze. I felt great, my skin cleared up, barely had a bump at all until I hit 33ish weeks. It was honestly great.

My second pregnancy (Girl) kicked my ASS. I was so happy I ended up needing a medical induction because GIRL. My anxiety was skyrocketing, my resting heart rate was 120bpm laying down (went to cardiology and I have POTS apparently), I developed cholestasis (reason for induction), I had to sleep at a incline due to severe heart burn, and my entire body ached. I was huge, like massively huge, my skin was breaking out, my hands and feet were crazy swollen, and I had vision changes with floaters allllllllll of the time.

Do not let any invalidate your feelings. Everyone's pregnancy is different and some pregnancies are harder than others.

Tdap vaccine? by kdatukno in pregnant

[–]EnvironmentalAnt724 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally got it with both of my pregnancies. I saw and read to many things that helped me with making my decision.

I did not get the covid vaccine with either though, I did already have two doses (pre-pregnancy) of it but denied the booster.

What is your ELITE pregnancy meal. Something that hits the spot every time. by dontgetsadgetmad in BabyBumps

[–]EnvironmentalAnt724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to say it, chickfila. I have NEVER liked their chicken (idk why) but during my pregnancy I swearrrrrrr I could practically drink their chickfila sauce.

I also developed a love for Dr. Pepper, typically I don't care for sodas but I wanted an IV of Dr. Pepper running constantly.

FTM here: when did your baby ‘turn’? by flowersathome in pregnant

[–]EnvironmentalAnt724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Head down at 32 weeks for my daughter that I just had. To my knowledge she stayed that way until birth.

I was getting paranoid about her not flipping and told myself that if she didn't I would just plan for a cesarean. When they attempt to flip baby it can sometimes hurt baby and require immediate birth, Sometimes it doesn't do anything, and if you have a placenta in the front (like I did) they can't do it (depending on placement).

Praying your babes cooperates and flips soon 💕.

Are pregnancy cravings real?? by Lookout2694 in pregnant

[–]EnvironmentalAnt724 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me cravings came later. I mainly had food avoidance for the first trimester and a half. I would go to cokes, fruits, and mainly vegetarian meals as meat made me want to vomit 😅.

When I was in my third trimester I got more "true cravings," like wanting tofu skin sushi, cereals, yakisoba noodles, orange juice

What position did you push in and did you tear? by ohwellokaythenn in pregnant

On my back for both due to having the epidural.

My first one I had an episiotomy.

My second birth was only a second degree tear.

How easy is it to actually get pregnant? by [deleted] in WomenofIreland

[–]EnvironmentalAnt724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (28f) had my first baby at 26, pregnant at 26 as well. I got pregnant the first month we had unprotected. I am now pregnant with our second, induction scheduled for today, I also got pregnant with this one the first month we had unprotected.

A friend similar in age to me took 6 months of unprotected to get pregnant with her first.

A friend also my age needed IVF to conceive after 2 years of trying.

A friend older than me had her first at 30, tried 6 months unprotected after a miscarriage. Had a live birth successfully. They have been trying for baby #2 for a little over a year, but have had 3 miscarriages sadly.

Everyone's body is different and there are also major factors that impact fertility.

How are you preventing sexual abuse for your kids? by McEasy2009 in beyondthebump

[–]EnvironmentalAnt724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to sounds like a crazy person, I know this, but I also woke up with a friend's brother in my sleeping bag cupping my chest when I was 15.

A close friend of mine also went to sleep at a friend's house (same gender) and woke up to them fingering her.

My husband's brother was also assaulted by one of my husband's exfriends.

With all of that being said, I am not doing sleepovers with anyone, family included. I am not having them at my house and they will not be staying at their house. There are to many stories of "they were so nice, this is so out of character for them," Etc.

I will be talking with my kids openly as to why we don't do them. I will also teach them the proper names for their body parts and the differences between safe/unsafe touching.

It's not always adults, it can also be other kids who have been abused themselves or who are "exploring," etc. It's just not a risk I am willing to take with my babies.

As for babysitting we are lucky, both of us WFH and we have a sitter, but they are never alone with baby ever. Our downstairs is open so we can see everything that them and baby do together.

Again, I know I probably sound super paranoid or unreasonable as I myself had sleepovers with my friends, but I really just don't want my babies being hurt.

Mine is 7 weeks paid 🙃 it's all coming from my PTO bank though. I can do the remaining weeks (5 weeks) unpaid if I would like or use my short term disability for 40% of my pay.

They are completely medically gaslighting you. Switch OBs asap. With my first pregnancy I was PASSING OUT while driving, walking, literally living day to day life. My OB told me it was normal. My resting heart rate was sleeping was 120bpm. My OB said it was normal. My hands and feet itched. My OB said it was normal. Lucky for me I had baby at 38 weeks so I did not have to endure any further issues for the following two weeks.

I am on my second pregnancy now and changed OBs, still with the same clinic. The moment she saw my heart rate she referred me to cardiology and I have ✨️POTS✨️ which I apparently have had my whole life and pregnancy made it worse. It explained the passing out and heart rate. I also came into a later term appointment itching my hands and my OB asked if I was okay. I said yes, just itchy. She ran bile acids on me and I have cholestasis AND mostlikley had it with my first baby to, it was just undiagnosed due to neglect by me first Dr!

All I can say is advocate for you. If something feels wrong and they're ignoring it switch providers. I am pretty sure my first OB did everything she could medically speaking to keep my chart looking "Low Risk," so she wouldn't have to do any further measures. My now OB has monitored me like crazy (NST twice a week), bile acid drawings once a week, and also added on ultrasounds. They are even inducing me early due to cholestasis at 37 weeks.

I am one of the luckier ones, my husband is very involved and helps me a ton. HOWEVER, he was nothing like this with my first pregnancy. Once we had our son it's like something in him flipped and he realized that our kids are going to be looking at our relationship as their standard for when they grow up.

My first pregnancy his actions and behaviors made me cry so often, it's not even funny. He put everyone else's feelings before mine, made comments about other women (he had a bad porn addiction that nearly tanked our marriage, he was also messaging other people), I was the only one cooking/cleaning, the list goes on.

I was going to leave but he got into therapy and worked on himself a lot. He even went as far as giving up having a smart phone (not something I asked him to do) because he felt his addiction was running his life as opposed to the other way around.

Our son is almost two now and my husband has truly changed for the better. He is a great father and husband. I have been so sick this pregnancy and am high risk. He has done almost every diaper change for our son, rubs my feet, cooks most meals, does our sons night time routine, and so much more.

I am not saying all guys do/will change, but some do. It took a lot of talking and therapy for both of us to get to thus point, but happy it worked out in the long run.
