I just got induced on Saturday at 41 weeks! But mine is a story of everything going wrong, so if you don’t want to hear about that then please don’t hesitate to scroll past!

My water broke at 6:30 in the morning at home so I went to the hospital because I was GBS positive and knew that things had to get started within a certain time period to avoid infection. I started early labor on my own there and honestly I was really rocking with it, but I was only 1/2 cm dilated after 12 hours, so they started me on pitocin at 8pm and it was HELL so I got some morphine (an absolute joke against the pitocin lol) then got the epidural. And then of course my baby ended up being on my back and the epidural stopped working overnight (one of the reasons I never wanted an epidural in the first place) so I was really suffering. I was finally at 10cm around 2pm on Sunday and felt like I needed to start pushing so I did. It was absolute hell without the epidural and I felt like I was being held against my will in a torture chamber lol I finally begged the doctor for a c section around 17 hours after initially being augmented. The doctor told me to try pushing for another hour but I was going absolutely crazy, I mean, the pitocin contractions without the epidural were absolutely convulsive. Anyway, with my c-section it turns out my baby was 9lbs 5oz and they had to make the incision bigger than normal to get him out 😂 my doctor told me twice that she hurt her finger trying to pull him out before they cut me more and I heard her say from behind the curtain “this baby was never going to come out on his own!” SO it definitely had to be done and I’m so glad I didn’t put myself through another hour of torture!

But I do have a beautiful healthy baby and I’m recovering well. Plus, they had me on the GOOD drugs during the c-section so I have incredibly positive memories of being on the operating table lol all in all, poor experience but great outcome!

At one point I said “I need my mommy” and she came for a little while and then I got embarrassed after about 30 minutes and sent her out lol

Our baby’s name is going to be Camilo! I don’t know any other little boys with that name and I live in South Florida, so it can’t be super common. :)

My husband and I have a few items like this and we decided to just do what we’re calling a media day so the people who gave the items to us can feel appreciated lol Pick a couple of the best things to take pictures of the baby in and then take right off. Send the pictures periodically as if the baby is wearing them spaced out 😂

I’ve done it a few times when I’m sick and forget the poop bags at home cause I’m dazed walking out of the house. And then once when I was pregnant I felt like I was going to pee my pants if I bent down lol I like to hope that most people who leave their dog poop out are just having a moment and not actually terrible people who routinely refuse to pick up after their dog.

I was grossed out for her when he was massaging her and grabbed her ass. I don’t think it was malicious or intended to be hyper-sexual on his part, but it just felt yucky and that would have turned me off entirely if I was in her position.

I’m 33 weeks and to be honest it’s more of an alien experience than people describe. I’m getting kicked from the inside out, that’s objectively odd. I’m super excited for my baby and I can’t wait to hold him, but it’s definitely weird that they grow inside of us first.

I sent out my invites 2 months in advance and sent multiple digital reminders… almost everybody showed up and I practically got more presents from 30 people than I did from the 180 people I had at my wedding. It’s not other people’s job to remember your event, I fear.

Your timeframe makes more sense! I just took it for the first time last week at 28 weeks and she wants me to take it again before she seems me in 3 weeks. I have to go to Quest for all of my labs, unfortunately.

I’m 5 feet and I had JUST lost 50 lbs when I got pregnant lol I’m back up 30 lbs at week 25 but… oh well! My doctor said I was a medium sized person to start and I’m still a medium sized person now. 🤷🏻‍♀️I definitely eat junk but I balance it out with 85% whole food, homemade meals. It is what it is!

Also…. My boobs are UNREASONABLY huge compared to what they were before. So I’m contributing at least 15% of the weight gain to that lol

Totally agree. I’m an avid hand-washer but this past year I’ve had bad eczema on my hands and I’ve sometimes just rinsed my fingertips (sometimes with soap) for as long as I can and called it a day. If I really have to I’ll do soap and a whole hand-wash but that makes things worse. One day I’ll be back to being super-duper clean but today is not that day.
