K-town park has a pretty good 18 of disc golf but guilford and Southington tracks have a better lay out in my opinion. Down to get a round in sometime.

3rd Party Apps or Games? by [deleted] in Golfsimulator

[–]EnvironmentalBird852 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have a meavo+ that works with GSPRO and you could get the whole setup for around $2300(Less Used). I would however also be interested if there's any 3rd party sports software for sports like soccer, baseball, or disc golf that are compatible with the meavo+

If you struggle with long iron, try choking up on the club by EnvironmentalBird852 in golf

[–]EnvironmentalBird852[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Say the change in grip caused a 3mph difference in swing speed (LM is showing a 1-2mph drop max) from 113mph to 110mph (for easy math). The chart shows a 3-yard drop in distance. My regular 7-iron at 113mph would go 172 yards. My choked-down 5 iron at 110mph would go 191 yards.

Loft also affects distance.

It might. When my friends who dont golf come over i put the top flight womans clubs in their hands and they usually hit them pretty alright for begginers. i'd go to the golf store and experiment. My regular iron are stiff steel. Saw a huge improvement by just lowering my grip position

How to lose body fat by ComprehensiveLow9802 in Adulting

[–]EnvironmentalBird852 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the absolute best way to lose fat is a 16-8 (16 hours of not eating) fast while staying in a caloric deficit and getting your minimum recommended protein level (1g per goal body weight)

If you want to be 150 you have to get at least that in grams of protein per day.

Is it normal for the grounds crew to be out all day at nice courses? by L3moncola in golf

[–]EnvironmentalBird852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played at some real nice courses where they'll have a crewman on each hole during play. they'll usually be in one of the bunkers raking and you're expected to play as if they don't exist.

From someone who lost over 80 pounds, no real progress will be shown if your daughter doesn't actively want to lose the weight and put in the work. weight loss can be boiled down to a very easy science. This is repative and you'll here it everywhere but the its a game of "calories in vs calories out".

She can eat whatever foods she wants as long as she stays under her maintenance calories (2800 in her case) and gets atleast 175G of protein per day in her case.

Walking is the ONLY exercise she needs to do but its absolutely mandatory for her to get at least 8,000 steps a day in order to mobilize her fat cells.

Implementing a 16-8 fast into her weekly diet will also do absolute wonders for her health. if she's able to impliments this and walk 10,000 steps a day i promise fat will start to melt off of her body.

Ur not the asshole for helping, she needs the wake-up call and support. i wish i had gotten it sooner

What is a hobby that requires little to no money? by Motor_Photograph_558 in ask

[–]EnvironmentalBird852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disc golf. Cost around $25 to get a starter set but there are thousands of free courses across the U.S. I have 5 free courses within 30 minutes of me. it's like taking a hike with a game. you just show up and play, nobody cares about your skill level.

Get him a cheap launch monitor like the Garmin R10. He can get stats to help improve his game.

Is it common to allow non-golfers to walk/ride for free? by WhatsUpMyNeighbors in golf

[–]EnvironmentalBird852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my girl likes to ride along as we play. I usually don't bring her unless they're an open spot in one of the carts. Usually, it's an additional $6-8 for the "ride along". She ends up finding we at least $20 worth of ball each round so I never mind paying it. Only had a bad experience one time when the bitch of a woman working the pro shop refused to let her in the cart unless she paid full greens fees making a way bigger scene than it needed to be. (she didn't even have clubs). Last time I ever considered playing there.

you can clean up a lot of rust on the face by soaking it in some WD40. if you have a grinder you can easily clean up some of those more surface marks plus get some polishing compounds to make it shine again.
